YUP-going sideways under acceleration can be "interesting".  2funny It amazes me sometimes how quick old motocross tricks can come in handy! Have NOT motocrossed in 45 years?? One other thing I noticed today-we've had a couple of below freezing nights here already and I am STLL killing bugs with my windshield.  Lips Sealed NOT a complaint-I'll take any day I can get in the wind and count it as good fortune.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

It's over here for me. This last snow a couple of days ago the road commission used sand and salt on the roads.   ???

same here in WI, but was very tempted 48 degrees out the other day.  However, when I went with the truck downtown,  I saw an ice dam crossing from frozen water over the road that has a drain culvert dipped into the concrete for drainage I would have had to cross on the cycle, maybe if lucky to get over it?  It's those kinds of situations on the road where 95% of the road is fine, but you may very well come across a shaded hillside in the country and snow/ice is still present all over the road.  Not worth chancing it for a 100 mile or so ride since the nights still dip down now to around freezing temps.

Here in the Sho Me  they use I believe beet juice and some sand. Once they use sand-they haven't YET-I'm done until we get a really GOOD rain. I've had some interesting heartbeats due to the unseen sand in shady curves!  Lips Sealed Plus if it stays below freezing for too long shady curves WILL become icy not even mentioning bridge decks!  Undecided Oh and B T W-the beet juice attracts water like the salt do!  uglystupid2 Any time we ride we have to have checks and balances-even MORE so in the winter!  crazy2 RIDE SAFE.
