I found a 97 yellow Valk trike for sale on oodles.com. Started doing a search as it is for sale for $3100. Has a long list of goodies. While looking , a similar post came up. Different pictures of the same trike with the same description. The bike must be massive as it is in Paris Illinois and Benton Illinois. This means the trike is about 130 miles long (as the crow flies). I guess I will just send the money as this does not look like a scam. (yeah RRIGHT) I look at this link on occasion to see if there is a good buy.
This one is a good bye.

Needs looking into, but may be genwine. I was looking at buying and more than one vendor had ads in trwo places, or an ad in one place but said the buy was 200Km away etc..People with cruisers sometimes seem to be selling because of altereed circumstances; new job, marriage bust up etc and are ad'ing in two places to catch more buyers.
If you want the bike and it's a bargain, check it out more. Also maybe check it out before bagging it, as the poor owner may be desparate.

But are you chasing the unreal deal? I have no experience with oodle, but "if it sounds too good to be true" applies everywhere.... |

I bought a bike off the Internet a year ago. By goggling the VIN I found 13 different ads that were all scams off the original ad on e-bay. Be cautious with your money.
I met the owner before handing over a deposit and inspected the bike before completing the transaction

I would not send money for an item without seeing it. I know that there are enough members in this club , as I would , to go and finger print a bike. We sent an E mail and doubt if we will get a reply.if we do , the bike is not that far away .

I bought a sailing boat and a Trike. I live in Western Australia and one was in New South Wales, the other in Queensland, both thousands of Km away. I inspected neither and met neither owner. I emailed them and spoke to them. Saw photos. Both buys were fine.
That is just my story I know, but both vendors seemed, and were, good eggs and I wonder how many successes there are, compared to scams.

what i did was have the seller get a paper plate and write the date on it and send me the picture of the plate with date with him holding it sitting on the bike..that way at least you know he has possession of the bike

HA! I've just recieved a response from the guy with the trike! He mentions being an engineer that works on the oil rigs in the gulf. He claims the trike is crated, ready to ship. He also states that his brother in Germany can't ride anymore and so he's not going to ship it. He also states that the shipper has an escrow account so that should put everyone at ease. I responded that I would be coming in person to pick it up. We'll see what he says next!!! Does look like a nice trike! Has Illinois plate on it... He's out of Texas... More info as soon as I get it!
