After I win my $1.3 Billion tonight I probably won't be on this forum anymore. I will spend most of my time on the Caviar & Cigar Forum. I'm sure most will be happy with that.  2funny

You know what SUCKS about Michigan is after a certain amount, you are made public for your winning.  There are five stated that have  anonymous winners, Michigan is not one of them. The way I see it is like putting a sign around someone's neck, that says "Kidnap my family member for money". Your privacy has just gone down the toilet.

Statistically a high percentage of lottery winners are bankrupted within five years.  That's a long time for us to wait around for you so to make it simpler why don't you just stay while you're spending your wealth?  That's what I've done.

If you won the lottery at 1.5 billion and let's say, to make the math easy, (and probably accurate) there is a 50% tax leaving you $750,000,000. You would have to spend $410,958.90 a DAY for 5 years to go broke.

Or I suppose you could spend $750,000,000 in just one day too.

Or, if you somehow got the full $1,500,000,000 with no taxes and as a lump sum you could fund the federal government!

...for a little over 3 hours...

(2016 budget roughly $4,000,000,000,000 divided by 365 is $10,958,904,109.59 per day divided by 24 is $456,621,004.57 per hour then multiplied by 3 is  $1,369,863,013.70)

I'm afraid I'm not as thoughtful and charitable as you guys are. I was thinking along the lines of laying around in a silk covered recliner having a supermodel feeding me grapes. I'm just not sure how I'm going to get this by my wife.  Smiley

I can't remember who it was but I liked the earlier idea of a recliner made of super models...

And then there's the story of the guy who comes home excited and yells to his wife "WoOHoO! Pack your bags baby, I just won the lottery!"

"WOW! Should I pack for the beach or the mountains?"

"Don't care, just get out!"

It's estimated by the lottery commission that 85% of the possible number combinations will have been sold by tonight.  That leaves a 15% chance that no one will pick the winning number.

Another outrageous probability outcome:  The same team would win the Super Bowl six times consecutively is more likely than you winning the lotto. uglystupid2

GA is a non anonymous state. One of the political bright sparks is putting forward a bill that you could chose to become anonymous if you "donated" 25 % of your win to the State scholarship fund.

I dislike politicians.

Never mind that there have been kidnappings and murders in the past related to lottery winnings let's screw money out of someone.
