some of ya'll with ice and snow on the ground and the colder temperatures that go along with ice and snow and salt will be less than happy!  coolsmiley But anywho I managed 60 miles for my first ride of the year of 2016.  cooldude Course It didn't git near as warm as the weather guessers said it might but I kept pluggin away and rode!  Roll Eyes 39 degrees F on departure and arrival. Sposed ta be near 60 2moro and we shall see.  Lips Sealed Then Friday in the Ozarks Mother Nature sposed to take a dump on us.  Undecided Phatt Ghurl was sittin fer near on a month with treated-Stabil Marine-gasoline and she argued a mite but eventually fired up.  Wink A LOT of trivial problems disappeared in the cold clear wind of the ride.  Smiley I know some of ya'll have the cold-snow-ice-salt and sand residue to deal with and would prefer NOT to take yer gal out during inhospitable conditions-but I WILL let ya know when I can get a ride in!  cooldude  2funny RIDE SAFE.

Have a look at my current temps and you'll know I'm suffering PMS symptoms in a big way.  Supposed to be -15 tonight.  Nice to know some good folks are getting in the wind, even if it's a bone chilling one!  I'm with you in spirit, I'll join you in April.

my sentiments exactly.

It hopefully is not so cold that my newer tankless hot water heater exhaust vent (made my the mfg.) will not freeze up allowing cold airflow back into the unit mounted on the wall to freeze up inside like it did 2x's last winter.  I had to take the cover off and run on HOT a hair dryer for 5 minutes on the upper coils since frost was inside,  NOT good.

The mfg. when I called last year said is rated to like -20 degrees F but asked if that was with or without windchill since am sure at times with the strong, cold winds,  is below -20 at times with windchill.  Strong bitter cold winds those few times last year surely need to be tested at the mfg. plant better.  Wife don't like taking ice cold showers in the morning.  Grin

You could have went out last Friday. It was 55 degrees with a fair amount of Sun.  I was about 50 miles or less west from you over in Ava, MO. (Douglas County)  My last remaining Aunt on Fathers side passed on and Funeral was last Saturday.  I saw some cousins I had not seen since the 1960s, shame on me.  Gorgeous country though, much how I remembered it from my youth and nice and wonderful  and friendly folks everywhere we went down there.  My sister and cousin ( both live in Midland, MI ) and I went out for the day on Friday.  Took the 14 out of Ava east about 15 miles to a creek and State conservancy named after my ancestors that being Rippee Creek and Rippee Conservation area.  The creek was more like a whitewater river, and a lot of flooding had just happened, but I was impressed.  For all the miles we drove around I did not see any bike taking advantage of the beautiful day in early Jan. Tje thousands of cattle seemed to like it just fine though.  Glad you had a good time and hope more to come before winter breaks for good.

After almost a week of sub zero lows, and highs in the teens, we've got a nice day today  cooldude  Should be about 30 by noon  Cheesy

My two sons just left with another buddy, headed to Lake Kesus.  They're gonna get the holes drilled, set up the shanty, and call me when everything is ready...  Ice Fishing baby!!!!

A good excuse to drink beer and eat hot dogs with my sons  Wink

And Dennis, thanks for gettin' some wind for those of us in the Great White North.
