Went on a short ride didn't know where to go so went to Palm Beach and to a restaurant right on the intercoastal. It had been so long since I had seen Pelicans so it was nice to see them back again. I heard its getting a bit cold in some areas up north and thought you guys would like some warmer pics to remind you of riding and getting out.

If you look in the water below you will see fish swimming, they always hang out at the dock here and sometimes can be as long as 3 feet.

The girls just got in the way of the shot of the inlet.  Wink

I have a pic of when we went 2-3 years ago on vacation to Gulf Shores AL right on the border of Florida and were on that LONG public fishing pier was one of the highlights of our trip, at least for me.  While the kids and wife went shopping,  I stayed and saw some very weird looking saltwater fish caught never have seen before since from freshwater lakes of WI.

They certainly have TONS of varieties of fish swimming right below the clear water surface for viewing pleasure.  Even had a HUGE pelican come up to the pier wooden structure and sit right in front of me literally 3 feet away right above the sign stating 'no sitting on pier'.   Got a pic of that huge pelican and sign was priceless.   Smiley

Went on a chartered fishing boat at least 10 miles off shore fishing reefs mostly catching red snapper.  Someone hooked a huge dolphin jumping over 10 feet into the air (had to cut the line) as well as trigger fish and a giant black eel/snake looking creature about 4-5 feet long 100 feet down right on the bottom.  Even had the person right next to me having something HUGE on those barn door poles with 50lb. test that she could not reel in kept taking line out for some 15 minutes of fighting it before the line snapped.  Never had a fish that big I could not handle except on the WI river below a dam with my 6lb. test light action rod for walleye hooking into either a 30lb. plus sturgeon or paddlefish stripping my line in 15 seconds and then SNAP in one long run.   Cry   I made it a point to go NO less than 8lb. test in the future or more like 10lb. test so at least I would have had a chance at landing that monster.  6lb. test is only good for fish say 15lbs. and lighter usually.

Know that inlet well. Have Snook fished it years ago and left out of it for various tournaments, a couple of which we hauled-ass over to Memory Rock in the Bahamas, fished, and made it back by weigh-in. Won a V.I.P. tournament by doing that one year.

Glad you got to ride, hope all in Fla are safe. Saw some bad stuff in the weather on the news.
