Left my Lacasa around 10:30 A M car was indicating 14 Degrees F. Got to Rolla Mo.-bout 75ish miles or so-car was indicating a balmy 21 degrees F. While we were staking flags a Lady P G R member showed up on her H/D trike. Her concession to the chill-heated gloves and a leather face mask. Right after we started the Flag Line-1300 HRS-another H/D rider-male-showed up on his 2 wheeler. We stood the Flag Line inside cause of the chill factor involved. I saluted the Air Force Veteran we were standing for into the hearse and made my way South to the house-it was 19 degrees F when I left Rolla and within 4 or 5 miles South of Rolla I hit freezing rain and had THAT particular bit of fun all the way to Lacasa. Just went outside and It's showing 12 degrees F and raining!  Lips Sealed My cage currently looks like it belongs in a cocktail!  2funny I got back just before sunset here and I intend to stay inside the rest of the night!  cooldude IF IF IF the weather guessers are correctamundo I MIGHT be able to git Phatt Ghur and me in da wind this Sunday!  coolsmiley we shall see. RIDE SAFE.

Thanks again for being there for the grieving family and providing this valuable Service, Dennis. That sure sounds like less than ideal conditions!  cooldude

Russ as you are aware of most folks normally don't pick their time to depart this life. Kinda like when I was in the U S Navy we go WHEN and WHERE needed. And as I've stated before you KNOW you are doing something important and good when the family-Widow-Widower-Daughter(s)-Son(s)-Grandkids-etc etc-take time out of the personal grief to come up to the P G R Members and thank each one of us and say He/She would have enjoyed what we did for their loved one that day. I get VERY emotional at a Funeral P G R was INVITED to stand for-when the family thanks us personally and when they play TAPS. I have TRIED and FAILED to remain dry eyed during TAPS and have always failed. For those of you STILL on the fence about joining P G R-I'm 99.99% certain you will NOT be sorry. RIDE SAFE.

Very much understood, Dennis. When my Dad passed 20 years ago, we all did ok until they played Taps and did the 21 Gun Salute. Knowing Dad was a proud WWII Vet, we pretty much lost it at that point.

Join the PGR.
Its the second best thing you can do with a motorcycle.
On the list of must haves are a dark face shield though.
I have been consistently amazed when the family thanks us.
That's the values and mettle that gave the honor to the service member we stand for.
old2soon, I salute you.
