Another Famous American Converts to Islam. It's becoming a very scary world out there. It was announced today that Buckwheat, of Our Gang fame, has converted to the Muslim faith and changed his name to "Kareem of Wheat". Let's just hope he doesn't become a cereal killer. (Hey, I don't write'm, I just copy/paste) ================================================ I've often told my wife she's a cereal killer. She gets frustrated trying to open a new box of cereal and once she's done with it then mashes in the top to close it, it's never the same.

I was deeply troubled by this post. So much so I was driven to do some elementary research on the character of Buckwheat from the Little Rascals series. Billie Thomas who was most known for playing Buckwheat passed to his eternal reward some thirty-five years ago in 1980. There was no mention of his conversion. More troubling from the research was that the character itself morphed from female to male, this entirely while the role was filled by Billie Thomas. The role had been previously occupied by two different littler girls. We of the VRCC administration team cannot and will not tolerate threads of this ilk for two specific reasons. The first is our strong commitment to the disallowance of the promulgation of any known to be false information on these message boards. The second is that although we have not officially prohibited such posts we do firmly believe that the ridiculing or otherwise making light at the expense of the dead is in very poor taste. In keeping with our determination to fulfill the responsibility of maintaining the integrity and general well feeling intent of this our community communication element this thread will be removed after it has persisted for three short days giving the general reading public adequate time to have perused it on at least a single complete passing. Additionally as the thread is being removed a temporary banishment will be applied to Mr. Schmidt's registration prohibiting his posting during the three days that the thread was erroneously permitted to remain. The extracted price of this blatant display of inadequate humanity will additionally be applied to any member who involves himself by replying to the original or any other post in this thread. Yes, we do have a sincere need for a recognizable sarcasm font.

Hey Carl, do I get a prorated refund of membership dues for those three days? I knew the personage wasn't always a little guy in the early days, also knew he had passed away quite some time ago. As a little guy myself just a few years ago(sarcasm font again), I always got a kick out of the antics of Our Gang and we sorta had a copy of it in our 'hood. We ended up building four different tree houses, used to escape the enemy(usually parents) when needed. The neat thing was all our parents only knew of one tree house, never found the others. Often wondered how long any of them lasted.

Hey Carl, do I get a prorated refund of membership dues for those three days? No, John. If you red through the detailed presentation on VRCC dues you'll see that once paid they are not refundable. We have long since exhausted all the funds you provided with your dues. Surely you wouldn't expect us to reach out to our providers and request a refund because one of our members had caused us to rescind his privileges? Of course those three days will be retroactively applied. I'm not entirely certain how that should impact the refund or retention of the dues that you didn't pay. Life is complex, isn't it?

Where I come from, the sarcasm font is always blue That seems like too much extra effort on my part. I shall avoid using that technique and will, at this time, choose not to move to Florida.
We now have five members who will endure a temporary three day suspension. Those suspensions will be concurrently applied after the day after tomorrow with a retroactive initiation of three days prior to two days from now.

I'm relieved to learn that the good VRCC administrators remove any posts that have any incorrect information or false facts. That means everything posted must be true so I can depend on this forum inerrancy to guide my political, economic and personal decisions and beliefs

That depends on whether Willow saw his shadow this morning. DRAT! Now I'm suspended! The list is getting too crowded. Based upon the intensity and intent of your infraction, Skinhead, I'm going to impose a six day suspension upon you and it will be retroactively imposed seven days ago. I do hope you've learned your lesson.

OK guys, enough of this good humor stuff. We need some good old down-to-earth, stir-the-pot subject matter that's totally PIC(politically incorrect). How about something political.....or how about religion. We desperately need to get back in the good graces of the bewhiskered dude.

Well, if they would have thrown him in a chipper he would have been: Shredded Wheat. If he was a girl her would be "Doe Wheat". If he was in crash he would be "Cracked Wheat". He'd be the same if they put him in the nut house.

This thread is not about Billie Thomas who did in fact pass away in 1980. It is about Buckwheat who lives on somewhere in syndication and, on occasion, has been portrayed by Eddie Murphy.
