VRCC Memorial weekend challenge.
Is anyone willing to step forward and help get the riding season in their area started with a ride or get together? I will set up something in my area to get started. There are the usual suspects that set something up every Memorial weekend and I hope that they continue. Out of the 50 states it shouldn't be a reach to get 20 or so to step up. I understand that there are states and large areas that there aren't many Valkyrie riders, but there are plenty of populated places that someone could put something together.  Something as simple as a day ride, a backyard BBQ, or a simple wrench party. If we could get 20 people to put together a gathering in their area and get a few folks to attend maybe some of the lurkers or some of the folks that have never been able to make a gathering would show up and enjoy themselves. Who knows...they might have a great time and come to other gatherings such as GOTF or Inzane. Maybe they would get completely crazy and host a ride or gathering of their own. I am going to volunteer my buddy Ron (Polky) to help me do something here in Colorado and he doesn't know it yet. See it's easy. So what do you say... Anyone feeling like paying it forward for the betterment of there fellow local Valkyrie riders? I personally know of people in at least 20 states that could put together a little something. If you aren't willing or are unable to put something together out of respect please do your best to try and attend the events that are in your area.  cooldude

Damon, count in NE Ohio..... We will be hosting our 4th annual Bikes, Brisket & Busted Knuckles, as always on Memorial Day weekend.

All Valkyrie riders are welcome. Each year, we have welcomed new Valkyrie owners to our place. Mostly other makes show up (as we have a wide riding circle of friends), not that there is anything wrong with that. I'll be posting here for the event in April. BB&BK IV covers all your suggestions... BBQ, wrenching and riding! Come for the smokey meat comas, and stay for the riding.

Mark your calendars!

Thanks Pete/JoJo
I knew you two would be in the mix. You are some of the usual suspects that I was referring to. In fact your gathering looks so cool I should ditch my plans and drag the CO crew to Ohio. Thank you for stepping up. I know it's not easy or cheap putting on a gathering like yours but from what I've seen and heard you do it first class. It's folks like you that keep this club Rollin.  cooldude

Unfortunately I have to work on holidays. But I've always thought that if I'm ever able to get Memorial weekend off, I would be bound for the B,B,BK.  cooldude Just looking at the food pics and the wrenching party makes me envious every year.  Smiley

It would be really cool if you could make Ohio and support the Gibbs. If not maybe the next best thing would be to host something in your neck of the woods.  cooldude

Luckily we have a good group of guys here with the SoCal chapter and AZ chapter. BigMac (SoCal) and Ron from AZ put together some good rides that I have been lucky to be a part of. I also like to follow your guy's Colorado thread. Hope to make one of your rides some day.  cooldude

I'm in, just gotta get the bikes road worthy.  I'd love to host another ride on this side of the Divide again.  I'll be in touch soon.
