Lt. Dan is a good man!  He truly appreciates what these men and all our vets have done for our country.

Gary Sinise has been a Veteran Advocate for awhile. This Old House helped out in building some Veterans with Special Needs their new homes so they are as acessable-sp?-as the one in the Video. Good to see stuff like that!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Very touching post.  No one does more for vets from WWII to current wounded warriors than Gary Sinise.  For him it is a labor of love.

When the WWII museum was being built I donated to it and got a named brick with my Father's name.  Shame I have never been there to see it yet.  Indeed a road trip is in order.

A great story and a Great guy Gary, Lt. Dan.  A bright spot in todays bad news.

I'll be doing something similar in April, the Honor flight ,FT. Wayne to Washington DC.  I'll be surrounded by WWII and Korean combat vets, although I had a more modest role as a corporal in a Medical Clearing Company.

Wayne-DO NOT down play the part YOU played for your contribution to the Korean War. I was an aircraft mech thru out my 4 year hitch in the Navy. Had the planes not been able to fly cause I didn't work on em! You see where I'm headed? The are so many interconnecting parts that if you weren't there! You Sir ARE a much better man than a "friend" of mine from H/S who took off for Canada rather than face the draft. And B T W-I've never forgiven him nor do I intend to. RIDE SAFE.
