WOW !!! Can't imagine. 12 hours is about my limit these days. And that's taking massive breaks. I don't really understand how quitting coffee, tea, sugar, etc. helps in this. If I was able to do it, which I'm not, I'd have downed pots of coffee. I also would have been like a dog raising my leg on every corner across the country.  Smiley

Probably didn't hurt that it looks like a Police spec BMW.... especially the Trunk on the back....

Like to know how many fuel stops he had to make?

All I can think of is the Italian guy on the (I think it was) Ducati in the Movie...

The trunk on the back is an auxiliary fuel tank

I know the Movie focused on Burt Reynolds and Dom Deluise but whenever I hear the word Cannonball I immediately think of Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin driving the red Ferrari dressed as priests.

As for the rider that just did this record breaking trip, how the heck did he accomplish it w/o any tickets. How many spotters were up ahead giving him an all clear msg on smokey bear and traffic.

I'm awed by the accomplishment but not envious of the man that did it.

While I'm sure my Valkyrie could do it, I know it's owner/rider couldn't.

I can live with that.   cooldude

Just what I was thinking. He had to be breaking the speed limit all the way. At 68 years old I did 1071 miles at the speed limit and it took 23 hours  non stop except for food, gas and rest stops. on my Valk.
