I remember the cars, but I do not remember the prices, but they were less that 1/10 the current price.

Wow, makes me wish I still had either my '69 Charger R/T with all the goodies, or my old baby blue '50 Merc.....or both. Both were cherry when sold, just think what they'd go for on Barret-Jackson in today's market.

We recently just went to Punta Gorda to see a car show and then one mans collection of perfect and rare cars. The building was an old Walmart location and it was just a small portion of this mans collection. I had to be dragged from the place.
Apparently all the cars are for sale, some were advertised as such. One such car was a Studebaker Hawk I wanted to put in a certain garage. [ I'm a Studebaker nut, was born in a Studebaker parts room].

Soon there is an antique car show in Fort Myers at Ford and Edison winter estate.

I too am sorry about selling some the vehicles I've had over the years. Hindsight ya know.

Back when I was in High School (1982) I bought one of my first cars....A 1970 Chevelle Convertible-not an SS, just regular.. 350 2 barrel, Auto, single exhaust... Dad said it was too expensive and needed too much work... I disagreed and bought it....

for $900......

I worked on that car for over year.. with dads help as he owned/ran a service station, so I had tools, lift, and all the toys..... also had connections with paint, parts, etc..  did all the body myself after practice and even tried to replace the top myself... gave up.. but I think I spent another $800-1000.... Did the same with the car I was driving at the time, a 74 Monte Carlo, that I bought before I even had a license... Most of High School I had 2 Cars... one driver, one work in progress. Drove the Chevelle for a year and then decided I "had" to have a 1978 Trans Am to finish Senior year... Black with the Bird and all..... Had that car for 6 months before I sold it to help pay for school..... And bought a 76 Vega....LOL

Long story short, I sold the Chevelle for $2100.......

Now would be worth $30-40 or more....

Bought the TA for like $4500 ( Dad also had a dealers license so I got it at wholesale and it needed a lot of TLC) Sold it for $5500

Now worth $20 ish or more

Wish I had em now..... BTW.. I paid for 2 years at MSU on my own with the money and work.... till they kicked me out in 2 years - I found out I couldn't work 40 hours a week, go to school 40 hours a week and Party 40 hours a week ( so the school part had to go)..  LOL... Talk about pissing money away. Drove that dam Vega for 3 years....
