I keep seeing these ads on TV about these cursed stuffed bears. These have got to be the cheesiest ads in excistance. Do guys really think they are going to have sex with beautiful young women if they buy a $99 stuffed animal ?

when my son was born 19yrs ago I bought a set; a Momma bear, Pappa bear and a little cub for my wife and she loved them and I also bought our son a bear that had a bib on it w/ his birthday. Then when our daughters were born they each got a bear with the bib and birthdate and again Mom got to add a little cub to her set.

They are nice bears, the kids love them and still have them in their rooms and Momma still rearranges them from time to time in our bedroom. They are nice keepsakes IMO.

As for the cheesy ads, well what can be said about that is it's all in the timing and presentation. Anyone can order a bear the same as flowers and have it delivered but it's the personal touch that adds to the gift.

A friend of mine in college used to walk up to just about any girl he found the slightest bit attractive and say wanna do it?  I said don't they slap the crap out of you. He smiled and said nine out of ten.

Same thing every year. Angry

Just when I think I'm done seeing the "Emotional" jewelry and perfume ads at Christmas, the also "Emotional" chocolate, jewelry, perfume and now Teddy Bears and flower ads show up for 2-14.

Enough to make me want to lose lunch.

I can't stand holidays that are for the sole purpose of capital gain.

Remember when Hallmark tried to start "Mother-in-Law" day? Shocked

Didn't go over so well. Grin

I'm pretty sure that someone who pays $99 for a stuffed animal gift has already been the object of a sexual experience.
