Headed to my 2nd GOF  , almost 12 years ago to the last one  . Headed down with EZ Rider, hooking up with Jack NOLA & Danny 'Speedy' in Arkansas. Reservations at the Best Western. Rooms were Evaporating unless it was just a Hotel Hype  Everyone RIDE SAFE & Keep the Shiny Side UP  |

Anyone who hasn't been before should bring rain-gear. I can only remember a couple that hasn't had a good rain at least coming or going. Had an awesome storm last year.

Is there a charge to attend? I'm not 100% sure I will be able to make it but would like to try, depends on the GF's work schedule and how my back is feeling that day. I don't want to confirm a reservation and not be able to make it, but I don't want to show up unexpected. Looks to be a lot of hotels in the area even if the 3 suggested are booked. Also is this exclusively a valk only event? my brother with a VTX1300R and of another friend with a VFR may come along too. (at least they're Hondas)

It is not a Valkyrie only event. It's not even a motorcycle only event.
Friendswood is on the southern side of the Houston metromess. There are not a lot of hotels close but a goodly number within seven or eight miles. Even the ones in Alvin are a fair ride away.
Make the trip. You'll enjoy the experience.

There is no charge to attend. There will be raffle tickets for sale along with a 50/50 drawing. Also there is a donation bucket to help cover the cost of the two tons of meat that Mark and Charlene pay for. All $$ raised goes to the Lions club to send disabled kids to camp. The GOTF is a very special event hosted by two very special people. Do yourself a favor and head south. |

As of now the plan is still to leave Cincinnati Thursday when (if) she gets off work, ride all night and show up Friday with enough time to check in to the hotel and take a small nap before the festivities.

We have Thursday Reservations at the Best Western in Alvin TX. Leave date is iffy, weather dependent but plan on arrival Thursday evening. The flooding hasn't helped and we may need to alter our route some. You got my TX - Ride Safe |
