Well i pulled the trigger on an F6B. Was wondering if there are a couple of car tires that seem to be outshining the others. Tia

Congratulations on your new F6B. Yer gonna like it a lot.

As far as a car tire,  I was real lucky and found a Michelin Alpin PA3 ZP 195/55/16, for my F6B. This is a winter run flat tire.

When I was in the market for a car tire, I did my home work and searched the Goldwing forum and the F6B fourm.

This Michelin Alpin PA3 ZP tire gives me a very smooth ride. I run 32 psi, and I also used Counter Act Balancing Beads,  and this tire  handles just like a m/c tire.  I highly recommend this tire.

The problem is, that the Michelin Alpin PA3 ZP is hard to locate,  maybe discontinued, I don't know for sure.

I will be looking for another one of these tires, or one very similar to it, a winter run flat for sure,  when its time to replace it.

Enjoy your Ride

I have been pretty happy with the Austone Taxi tire, moreso than the Toyo and whatever the other one was that I tried.

Clark, the F6B forum has a board dedicated to car tires on the "6". Slightly different sizes than on the Valk though.

If it'll run the same size as the full dressed Wing,
this is the tire of choice for the more "spirited" riders
on the Wing board....(in 195/55/16)
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=AVID+ENVigor+ZPS&partnum=955VR6ENVZPS

I run a 205/55/16 on my '05 Wing, same tire I ran on the 2K/IS Valk.
Michelin has discontinued the Riken Raptor I run so my next one is probably this......
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Hankook&tireModel=Ventus+V12+evo2&sidewall=Blackwall&partnum=055WR6K120XL&tab=Sizes
(Higher load rate & softer tread compound than the Yoko.)

I mention the 205's because it's hard to find what I consider to be a performance tire in 195/55/16.
Again, if it will run the same size as a dressed Wing this might give you a few more choices.
YMMV
Happy hunting! Let us know what ya finally settle on cooldude

If there is a Goodyear triple tread in that size that would be (is) my choice. I've tried several different brands on both a Valk and the ST1300. The GYTT has been the best in both handling and mileage.

On the ST with three other brands of tire there was a "snap wiggle" when you got back on the throttle coming out of a curve. No such thing with the GYTT. It handles pretty tame and the last one on my bike made 55,000 miles.

"snap wiggle" cooldude good term! (Mind if I borrow that?)
That's how some of the guys say the Michelin Alpin PA3 ZP acts on the Wing. That's why some run the Yoko.

For my '08 gold wing:
I just got a Kumho PA31 in size 195-60/16. Haven't mounted it yet, so don't know the feel yet. Not a run flat, but does have a stiff side wall, though not quite stiff as the GYTT. It is directional. It's about $78 on Tire Rack.
It doesn't come in 205-60/16, so prob will use the Yokohama Avid Envigor on the
