I have his inaugural address framed at the entrance to my room in my office. It pleases me when someone takes the time to read it In fact I dont charge that time (just a joke ) Did you know this about JFK I always roll up my sleeves, someone pointed out to me that JFK always did that as well It made my day as a conservative democratic libertarian. Yeah I have issues But at least I rode this weekend.

This would be a neat exercise. Get on a new Democrat forum and use this as your Avatar. See how long until they start trashing you.
Much respect for this gentleman. More conservative than most modern Repubs and would not recognize what passes today.
Kudos to you Oss

What America DOESN'T need is socialism! Anyone who thinks higher taxes, bigger government and more free stuff is what we need would be an enemy of freedom according to JFK

JFK was not like the rest of his family. He was a democrat, I believe, because daddy said so as he did for the rest of his family. [Of course the democratic party has changed over the decades.]
As a senator he hung around with republicans and was best friends with Nixon.
He and LBJ were as different as folks could be and hated each other, part, or all, the reason he was murdered.

It is my oft-stated opinion that the history books of the next century will note that the demise of the United States of America began on November 22, 1963 with the assassination of President Kennedy. This country's path was changed from that day onward. Someone pulled the big handle on the Toilet of Nations that day and the flushing began. Now look at the turds we have running around the bowl today and waiting for the next one to drop. God help us all.

http://www.thepeoplesvoice.org/TPV3/Voices.php/2012/01/06/the-1961-speech-that-got-jfk-killed"For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system that has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, and no secret is revealed." [1] Russ Baker suggests the strong possibility that Bush Sr. was connected to the assassination of President Kennedy because “Lyndon Johnson would be more obedient to Texas oil men. [2] A more plausible connection is Abraham Lincoln was killed for the Legal Tender Act of 1862 and Kennedy for Executive Order 11110 (the CIA has been exonerated [3]). Lincoln’s “greenbacks” would have prevented the Federal Reserve from creating $500 trillion of money out of thin air, money that Warren Buffett and Market watch say financed our global consumer society. And, JFK’s "United States notes" backed by silver, which were withdrawn the day he was shot, would have put the Federal Reserve out of business and returned to the Treasury Department the Constitutional power to create and issue a debt-free currency. The first thing LBJ did on Air Force I after JFK was dead was write a new EO putting money making back into the Federal reserve's hands. Then LBJ and Ted Kennedy changed the immigration laws allowing the invasion of our country by foreigners and which has been greatly accelerated by un marxist obama.

The info is available if one is willing to look. I can't imagine anyone today thinking Oswald was the killer. Why are the records sealed ? The info is out there too, Maybe some will think its too far out there, but, its out there none the less. Just look into the Warren commission. That'll keep leading to other places.
JFK was a smart man. LBJ hated him and was extremely ambitious. JKF wanted out of Vietnam and LBJ wanted it escalated. That war and his 'Great society' were to be his legacy. Thats the starting point, it'll keep keep one reading for years.

Oh it's out there alright. There is all kind of "theories" out there. If you want to believe Bush Sr. had Kennedy knocked off, if you want to believe Nixon and Kennedy were best buds, if you want to believe any cockamamie theory go right ahead. It's a free country. But it still doesn't make it fact.

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?page=2&t=798616and remember a SSA wiped down the back seat at the hospital to get rid of the evidence of the bullets true trajectory. http://forum.prisonplanet.com/index.php?topic=223344.0On June 4, 1963, a little known attempt was made to strip the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the government at interest. On that day President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order No. 11110 that returned to the U.S. government the power to issue currency, without going through the Federal Reserve. Mr. Kennedy’s order gave the Treasury the power to issue silver certificates against reserve silver bullion. He was assassinated 5 months later. He was going to return the country to it’s former self, not being manipulated by big business and big financial institutions.

We will all have our own theories on what happened that terrible day and of the parties involved but we will never, ever be told the real truth which is the sad truth and I hope all those involved have answered for what they did.
I can't remember how old I was when I came to my own conclusion Oswald could not have accomplished this alone and this was in fact a coup d'etat especially after Bobby was killed too.
It's sad to sit and wonder how things could have been different, how did this change the course of history.

I don't think all have yet answered for what they did. I do hope the truth surfaces some day. The records need to be unsealed. The course of our history would be different had he lived. LBJ was a bad president and we are still feeling those effects. Many are still [ or have] suffering from that cursed war and we are still trying to implement his Great Society. Yep, they've both worked out well.

I think JFK was assassinated because of a video he made that depicted LBJ and the head of the fed and something to do with a goat.

JFK would not be allowed into todays Democratic Party. In fact, he would be one of the more conservative Republicans today. The country has moved so far to the left since the sixties, it is hard to believe.
Post JFK's speeches on a Progressive website, without attribution, and it will trashed by one and all!

I think both wings of the parties have moved further outward. I think the same could be said that Reagan wouldn't have a place in the Republican Party also. Unfortunately we as a society have become so polarized we view the other sides as the enemy instead of our real enemies. I am considered progressive by most on here and there is not much of Kennedy's speeches that I would disagree with. I hope I live long enough to see our country pull back together towards each other instead of the opposite. Sometimes it does seem hopeless I will admit.

Not Russia, not China, not terrorists, not ISIS, etc. Republicans. Sad. It has been happening all over the political spectrum. NEITHER side will compromise in good faith. You can see it in gun control. Dems want more. However, if the Repubs give ANYTHING on gun control, I GUARANTEE that immediately, the left will want MORE, and MORE, and MORE. I do not see any way out of it. Now it is "in" to say cops are the reason there is so much crime in areas. NOT the criminals, they are now the victims. How did the world get upside down?

Melvin It is (imho) those who have been tirelessly advancing the socialist and communist agenda since 1914 or so.
There are those who claim Martin Luther King Jr was a Republican, like his father and Abraham Lincoln was a Republican In truth, King was independent and registered with neither party
If you ask 100 young people to name the political party of either man you will get the wrong answer at least the majority if not universally incorrect The Democratic party was the slave party, ironically strongest in South Carolina at one time. How times have changed although I believe thru entitlements its king makers now seeks to enslave the entire country not just black folks.
When Hillary says the greatest threat to america is republicans the party should be on her like flies on a pile of crap saying how dare you insult King How dare you insult Honest Abe
The majority of all people are naturally stiff necked and easily led and swayed in their beliefs by advertising and word of mouth This does not mean they are not GOOD moral and kind people.
A story repeated begets credibility in itself
That is why the media can and has swung elections
It is why demonization and delegitimization are such powerful weapons
Its also why Carson does not get asked questions at debates
He actually asked if someone could attack him so he could get a question last week at a debate as his way is not divisive and hence not popular with the media
We created this How do we reverse it That is the big question
What would Kennedy have done? I am sure only that he would not say it is time for a pick one Woman Black or other color He would say is this person acting in the best interests of the USA

That is a mouthful Oss and I wholeheartedly concur. Only it may have started 20 years earlier with continued Democrats putting up William Jennings Bryan. Morgan and Rockefeller and Carnegie were able to keep him at bay with outrageous at the time checks to McKinley. There is no horizon to far for these folks and their ultimate goal is or will be complete communism for this country whether they know it or not. You will not be able to implement their final form of bigooted political correctness with out and advanced police state to subdue the many many millions of people like me and many on this forum. Either that or we just finally throw up our hands and conform and become no more than the Eloi in H G Wells The Time Machine and the state is the Morlocks slowly eating our souls.\ Chuck

I know many on both sides of the aisle. But I know of NONE who are advocating communism. Just another example of how we demonize the other side. As I have said before, sometimes seems hopeless that this will change.

I know many on both sides of the aisle. But I know of NONE who are advocating communism. Just another example of how we demonize the other side. As I have said before, sometimes seems hopeless that this will change. None are advocating the word Communism, but "redistribution of wealth" by force is, in fact, Communism. Dictionary.com- "(often initial capital letter) a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party."

I don't know any of those people either. Maybe I just don't get around much.

I said advocating the socialist and communist agenda
There is one of those grammar thingies that willow likes to split in the sentence
AND
You do know what happened to the "nice" communists the ones they called white russians
They were all on the other side of the lawn after 1918
So there is only one kind of communism/socialism left in existence That of China/Russia who try to propagate by what their professors and agents are teaching our kids in college with our tax dollars
If Sanders were in Russia in 1917 he would be dead by 1919
Im sure he means well, but meaning well without a real plan is a disaster just like carter was a disaster
