In the last 2 years or so I've stood Flag Line and escort to final resting place for either current or recent ex military that have committed suicide about 5 or 6 times. My senior ride Captain has stood near 50 P G R missions that were for suicide. The young Man in question today was only 21. I'm having a conflict with the person that commits suicide versus what I know and believe in the Bible. I have a next door neighbor ex Army earned the C I B in Nam and also a Christian and I've already talked a bit with him. On one hand as ex Military myself I'm standing for a brother in Arms. On the other hand as a Christian I KNOW suicide is WRONG. I've prayed for every one of them but will that help at all come Judgment Day? I have zero to slim idea of the demons that are chasing these tortured souls. While I'll probably remain conflicted on the suicide issue I will continue to stand P G R missions for ALL Our fallen Military-no MATTER the cause of death and our first responders. And I've heard and Believe-judge not least ye be judged. Oh-one little fact came to light today as most of this mans platoon-most still serving-were there today to render Final Honors and this is what they had to say-Approximately 22 to 25 Sand Box Vets commit suicide EVERY DAY.  Cry Think about those numbers FIRST please THEN relate your feelings here. T I A for ANY and ALL help. IF you HAVE NOT figured this out yet I'm EXTREMELY disturbed by this situation. RIDE SAFE.

I have heard about the increase in suicides in our military and wonder about the factors that play a role. Like less real Pastors, hard times so people enlist, military crack down on preachers preaching openly. My nephew joined as a military Chaplin and some of the stories he tells me are awesome. How even the atheists wind up believing and helping him and accepting the Lord.

As for suicide I also wondered and so I took to the bible and prayed about it. What I believe God reviled to me may help. There are many reasons for suicide but the over whelming is not feeling loved and lack of hope, thinking that nothing can change your situation of hopelessness. If this is accomplished through mental illness, demonic influence or not having a real relationship with Christ the result is the same. You wipe out a life before the time God said were your allotted years and wipe out the promises of God for that life.  If you have experienced Gods love you realize you are never alone and never without hope and never not loved. That the God who loves us causes all things to work together for our good and when we cannot see the plan we run to Him through prayer and get comforted. The Bible says basically anyone who would take his own life is crazy and really not responsible for their own actions. Basically insane, who in their right mind would wipe out their own life if they knew the Love of God and that He has plans and purposes for their lives. Once you know inside of you these things and then are filled with the Holy Spirit its pretty hard to entertain suicide with any will. Everyone has bad days even Job in the Bible and wished he was not born. The Bible says that because of this the person for either demonic harassment or insanity is really not responsible enough mentally and can make heaven. Its ultimately for God to decide but there is no one who dies who we can effectively say that man will not make heaven. We may be very surprised to see who does and does not make it.

Pray for them to have a personal relationship with Christ and pray against the enemy who comes to steal, kill, rob and  destroy. Your heart is for these men ask God to show you how to help and who to help. Let Him show you who needs prayer or a reach out and allow God to show you the need in these men's lives. Its better to get to them before they die since there is promises in life to fulfill. Plus its not by accident that you are feeling what you feel and in the position you are in ask God why, and how then follow His lead to a great adventure.

Rom 14:8  If we live, it's to honor the Lord. And if we die, it's to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
Rom 14:9  Christ died and rose again for this very purpose—to be Lord both of the living and of the dead.
Rom 14:10  So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
Rom 14:11  For the Scriptures say, "'As surely as I live,' says the LORD, 'every knee will bend to Me, and every tongue will confess and give praise to God. '"
Rom 14:12  Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.

We the people need to reach out to see that our boys and girls have not been forgotten
They need jobs and medical care

And we need to elect people who will not forget who stands on the line for freedom

I used to lead stress debriefings while on active duty.  I also trained debriefing teams.  It's my opinion that the military does not believe in stress debriefing enough.  They still base support to an individual on actual symptoms.  Stress support should be given based on the circumstance the individual experienced regardless of symptoms.  That is the only way to prevent PTSD, suicide, depression (symptoms of stress)

They (the military) won't do it
