Ole Puxatawney Phil forcasted an early spring.  He does not do this often and at the time it gave me hope for an early spring.  Yesterday while around my flower beds Crocus had came out in yellow and purple.  My gosh, last two winters this had not happened till late into MArch, maybe even April.  I immediately I went to my tulip and dafodill beds and sure enough the stems are a couple inches out of the ground and looking good, again vert early.  I live around Dayton, OH so I would assume those on a similar latitude or lower are experiencing same thing.  Was able to ride past two weekends as temps touched into 60s and next weekend is starting a warming trend to reach maybe 70s.
BRING ON THE SPRING AND LETS RIDE.

Somebody needs to kill that rodent.  It was 86 in Phoenix today and supposed to be 90 tomorrow.  If it keeps warming at this rate, it will be 400 by the summer. Probably hotter in Meathead's neck of the woods - he may have to keep his bike in the oven to keep it cool.

Last time I stopped by to see ol' Phil, I asked him that very question... He just gave me one of those "if I told ya, I'd hafta kill ya looks", so I let it go... Trade secret, I reckon.

Here in my little slice of the Republic that is SE WI, we had upper 50's, melting snow, and salted roads over the weekend. Today, 6 more inches of the white joy with more expected before the weekend. Of course, it will be in the 50's again by Monday the weather experts claim. The rodent may be smarter than all of those people combined.

Second day of meteorological Spring (whatever that is) and after a mild winter it's started to snow!
First snow this year what's it all about?
Daffodils were up and have now gone back down.

Here in Alabama, although we have many warmer days, we always get one more freeze, right before easter. Never have to winterize my bike.  Grin
