Congrats from another Deep South rider.
Been there done that ..... twice!
Once after 22 years and another time after 10 years. Paid off to leave....gotta' love it.
Now I do half days and am a bunch more relaxed. Am thinking you will find your groove very soon!
Enjoy.

Congrats, Strider, on your retirement. Even if they did it to you in a "less than optimal" way, it might turn out to be a blessing. And I hope it does for you. I'll have 43 yrs in at Cat this August and they're closing our plant in Aurora, Il down. It's expected to be totally shut down by the end of 2018. That's a pretty good incentive for me to hang em up also.

When one works as long as we have, it's time to see what retirement is about. I hope to see you in June up in Billings.

As one who retired in 1991 I found that I was still busy at other things.  The hours were good but the pay wasn't. LOL.

Whatever you do, don't rest on your laurels, butt, or what ever, the recliner is a killer.

Enjoy life, forget the Riff, go on to other things.

Looks like you already have.

Best wishes for a long retirement.

I'm not sure all realize it but this thread is over a year old. Strider is retired and doing well. I don't think he comes around here much anymore though.  cooldude

This is toooo funny.  Life has kept me busy as the dickins and after months and months of not checking in, when I do, this was at the top.  The Lord works in mysterious ways. Smiley

Life is good.  I am fine - just older, balder and fatter.  All kind of interesting things are happening in life right now - I will post more later, but all is good.

Both my wife and I are fine.....More to come soon I hope - like I said, all kind of interesting blessings happening right now.

Thanks folks for checking....

Strider all I want you to know is you will be amazed at the high pay working at the church
will get you now that you have time.
Have been working at mine since I stopped working and you will sleep with a smile
and learn to love the small things.
IT IS NOW TIME TO ENJOY WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN US!!!!!
