does anyone know how to get your youtube videos to show up in a youtube search?......I have about 30 videos all together.....I thought I had made them public....but I think the only time anyone can find them is if I leave a link....I wonder if it stems from the fact that I had some loaded on one name and some on another.....a while back Google(owns youtube?) consolidated them?....some are under my name.....most are under the "subscription" part of that page....... Undecided Undecided

Their searches are based on stuff like:

    Relevancy (based on your search query);
    Upload date (to find most recent videos);
    View count (to find the most viewed videos);
    Rating (to find the highest rated videos).

So... by default, their searches help  you find popular stuff.

I can find my stuff with "hubcapsc" (the quotes are important),
and even then I have to go past at least one  "Did you mean: "hubcaps""
prompt...

I can find your stuff with "stanley beasley" (quotes again), but
there's also a Stanley Beasley in a choir of some sort mixed
in with your tractor and valkyrie posts...

This one's for King Of The Hill fans...

What pops up if you search BX25D1......??

About eight bagillion posts about bx25d1 tractors... none of them
yours I think, but I didn't go through all of them...

BX-25D1 (the dash is important here) has you as the top
hit in my search, but I don't know if I primed their search
engine any by doing prior Stanley Beasley searches...

There's a whole industry around how to optimize your
content so that it will be found when searched for, that's why
I make all my vrcc picture-filled ride reports with subjects that include
"hubcap" and "pictures"... a google search on

hubcap's valkyrie pictures

pulls up a bunch of my ride reports right at the top.

It might be trial and error for you, but maybe you should
have

sts tractor services

in all your posts, or some other easy and logical phrase
in all your posts, as the subject, or as the name of a
youtube channel, and that way when people search on
the phrase the search engine will focus on you...

EDIT: I just pulled up your facebook page as the top hit on

stanley beasley tractor work athens

a google search...

Of course... the trick is... how to optimize for
searches that people will actually make?

hubcap's valkyrie pictures

finds all my ride reports, but nobody much
searches for that phrase...

I'm struggling just to figure out how to rename that video...I should have named it Kubota BX25D1....I googled up how to do it, but still can't seem to get it done.....that video was uploaded from my phone.........when I go to youtube, my name only shows 3 videos in the main section.....all the others are under "subscriptions"....I think most of those riding videos were loaded from my old PC years ago

if you name it Kubota BX25D1 the first thing its going to look for is kubota then it will look for bx25d1 under kubota, you want to make the title specific to you and do a search like this "stanley+kubota+BX25d1"

I was thinking that Youtube management has seen the subject videos and is just trying to spare the viewing public.
