Beautiful riding weather here on the Fla. Treasure Coast, high about 77 ,low humidity. Supposed to be rainy , hot, and humid starting tomorrow.
So……… I figured a nice ride today would be in order.
First, I hit the gym (got to maintain a boyish figure ya know), then headed over towards Hutchinson Island which parallels the ocean,
Stopped by the Indian River lagoon for a quickie (photo that is)

I was cruising on a major thorofare approaching a light when I hear a Harley coming up on my right, traffic was stopped and this Bozo pulls up right next to me instead of staying back in a staggered mode.
I am 3 feet away and am staring directly at him to see what he's up tp and he stares straight ahead, wouldn't look my way. As the traffic starts to move we're side by side and then he hangs a right.
Typical jerk with his nose in the air, in HD world some riders feel you're not worth acknowledging if'n you ain't on a Harley.
When I get a guy say to me why aren't you riding a Harley (which I've owned plenty) I say, "I do, but it's broke down and at the shop, so I'm riding my dependable bike." Can't help myself.
So besides the AH on the Hog, it was a great day for a ride!

I like the Treasure Coast.  I have a sister in Jensen Beach.  My wife's Uncle and cousin both own condo's on North end of Hutchinson Island, guess that would be Fort Pierce area.  I already told her this winter between the Holidays I will be coming down with the family and my Valk.  Hope to make it a yearly thing since her kids are done with college and gone.  I get asked that same question all the time by guys in our group that all ride Harleys.  I always tell because I like to ride everyday, or I wanted an American bike I could depend on.  It's all good fun, of course I am serious and theres are always getting worked on.

Pulled up to a stop sign once, shifted into neutral, lifted my visor to scratch my nose. My buddy thought that would be the ideal time to reach over and kick my bike into gear. I was not amused.

Don't let 'em get to you. Just turn, smile and wave, and continue enjoying you ride, don't wallow in their misery...

If somebody did that to me and my bike fell over and got scratched. I would be PISSED. I'm not too sure I would be riding with them in the future.

Thats alright. If I was to take a poll of the people I ride with, it would probably be 90% conservative.  coolsmiley But I haven't taken any polls yet so I may be underestimating it.

I'd probably pull up my helmet visor,  waive BIG time over in his direction to see if he responds and waives, etc.  just to get his attention or to piss him off, one of the two.

Surprised he didn't want to race off the line?

While riders of "certain" makes are for lack of a better description-"clannish"-Been my experience that Some-by all means NOT all-but some G/W riders have in some instances much LARGER chips on their shoulder or cobb in da butt syndrome than some of the "clannish" riders I've seen and attempted to interact with. When I'm stopped somewhere IF you do NOT lay that holier than thou bullshit on me of why You THINK yer brand is better than mine I've found out that a lot of bikers are willing to share ride information and B B Q info! Guys and Gals that I ride with on a regular basis that know me-well certain things can not be avoided nor do we want to avoid them!  2funny And if you re parked somewhere-show them the nickel trick-you'd be surprised how MANY folks that little deal shuts up!  cooldude RIDE SAFE P S-have THEM supply the nickel!
