Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

« on: March 26, 2016, 07:21:34 PM »

We had ( 4 ) bikes show-up for the ride today ( 3 ) Valkyrie's and a Wing.

I looked around on the www hoping to find a name and information on this cool cave Wimp took us too today. He didn't know what it was called and it was the first time the other three of us had been there.

Wimp had a flashlight and we walked in till we hit water it looked like it went on forever with the dim light of the flashlight.

Gordon and Wimp had their fold-up fishing rods with them and made a few cast's in the Holston River. Wimp caught a small walleye and Gordon landed two nice white bass.

This is the second time we have stopped for lunch here and we all agreed it was better this time.

Weather was in the mid to high 30's when we rolled out however it warmed into the 70's in the afternoon. We rode some great backroads even made a pass on The Beast Hwy.66 . Great group of riders ... I enjoyed the ride.... I'll be back to the cave and hope to have some information on it next time.

It's the 40th Anniversary the dude that owns it just started riding with us last year he had whatever they call the full dress Yamaha . His first ride with us he cleaned out about 25 yards of ditch and fought it back in the road never missing a beat. Truth is he a good rider he claims that day he just looked off the road a second ( that's all it takes ) .

I'm jealous. I worked on the Log Truck Friday, and some Saturday...
got called to work at 9pm Friday, and had to work intermittently
through the day on Saturday, so the Log Truck is still in pieces
in the pole barn... it is 5am, and I am about to leave for the
Atlanta airport for a work trip to a place where the high temps
will be in the 40s all week...

Cool cave!

Good report, Joe. It's cool that as well as you know your home state that there's still areas like that to discover. It'd be fun going back and exploring that cave with better lighting.
