Once I saw for sale about a year ago someone selling new, very well done aftermarket saddlebag chrome scuff plates or called scuff covers for the 1500. Anyone have any leads on these?

They are made of "unobtainium".
The problem is, once applied, they are essentially impossible to take off, without damaging them. I had a NOS set a few years back. Thought I might need them, and then managed to buy saddle bags with them already on. Sold them then, for I think $400.

Thanks Bill I will see what the shipping will cost and start a fight with myself Valkyries going for crazy low prices and some parts crazy high. I can see why Pinwall exists.

FYI they are used, but look good. I have bought a few parts from them and always satisfied with them.

I have them on both bikes first set I bought 3 years ago on eBay I think I paid 200, the Last one I came across in original packaging this last August for $52 buy it now free shipping I couldn't believe it, it's on the interstate now. Needless to say I ve seen them go for over 400+, but they're very rare. Good lunch hunting

I'm curious how you removed them without damage to them or bags? Dental floss/fishing line ?

I wasn't worried about the paint they was getting repainted ... Lots of WD 40 and time is how I removed them.
