Didn't look like it was too important to him. He never touched it.

It's amazing what the towing capacity is of these scooters!  laugh

On my 250cc scooter though,  I have carried 2 canoe paddles 15 miles one way all country hwy. roads doing 50 mph but not much faster than that since the wind resistance on the paddles makes it harder to hang onto them with my left hand.  Remember,  ONLY need your right hand free to steer or give it gas or do the braking if needed unlike a motorcyle requiring more attention.

I've also carried in between my legs on the flat loading floor  12 double rolls of toilet paper  or 8pk. of paper towels or a 2 1/2 gallon gas can with ease on the hwy as well since no wind to contend with.

Oh yah, almost forgot,  I drove 60 miles one way all country hwy. roads to nearest cycle dealer with two 16" new scooter tires one bungie tied to the top of my rear luggage rack, the other around my neck like a man purse resting on my helmet/shoulder.  I  wanted to put that rear 16" scooter tire around my mid-section like a donut, but MY mid-section was too round only could go down around my neck/shoulder area.   2funny

Nothing like some of these foreign riders are doing though on their scoots.   coolsmiley

Curious what kind of 250 scooter do you have that has 16 inch tires.  I had a 250  Honda Reflex for a while I bought for the wife that had like 13 front and 12 rear.  Smaller tires made for a harsher ride.  I then had a 500 cc kymco xciting with 15 front and 14 rear and ride was much better.  Can not beat how handy a scooter can be and I would like to add another sometime this year.

kymco people s250 has 16" front/rear tires which is one of the reasons I bought it having larger tires.  Top speed is 78 mph as registered by my GPS,  but prefer to keep it at or below 65 mph for safer cruising it gets 63 avg mpg towing my big butt around able to keep up in traffic no issues except for interstate speeds above 70 mph.  I just love passing slow poke harleys with it  them seeing a 285lb. person zipping on by them putzing at under 60 mph.

Well worth the 1 grand I stole it from the guy who wanted it gone ASAP moving out of state last day or so of November before the snow was coming,  could get 1500 for it probably now.  I have put over 4000 miles on it and a new set of tires last year on it after OEM tires since 2008.

Is on par with the 250cc honda reflex but smaller windshield, but larger 16" tires at least.

Kymco use to build parts for Honda back in the day, so I have no problems buying Taiwan scooters such as this mfg.
