Long term engine storage not M/C

Hello all,
In the next couple weeks we are going to decommission one of our trucks, a '98 Ford E250 van but there was a new engine (5.4L...330CI) installed about 3 yrs ago, has about 75K miles on it, it still runs strong and we want to keep it. The truck that will be replacing it is basically the same a '00 E250 5.4L w/ 130K miles.
I want to have the engine pulled and crated for use in the future but with the electronics, computer and that stuff but we do not have sufficient indoor storage space so it would need to be stored outdoors in NJ so we have extreme cold in winters.
I need some info/recommendations on how to store an engine for long term crated up.
Thanks,
Mike

Some of our equipment we build goes over seas to China, India, Bulgaria, Brazil. We wrap everything in a non rust type of saran wrap, it's blue, then a company comes in and vacuum packs the whole machine. You migjt look into one of these places and have them vacuum seal the whole engine. You dont want water getting down in with it and rusting and corroding everything. Be even better if you had some way to put it under a roof.

Fogging oil in each cylinder.

First change the oil put some fuel preservative in the fuel or some 2 cycle engine oil or sea foam then run it and fog it out. Cover it and allow it to breath a bit since condensation will occur and that can cause problems. Also make sure there is enough antifreeze to stop it from freezing even though you will drain out most of the water. Used to do boat engines for winter storage and this was pretty much what I had to do.
