I've become concerned about the whining I'm hearing from our current generation of college students. Now I don't want to start a political thread, this pertains to the anger being caused on campus, by chalk graffiti mentioning Trump 2016, so please lets not get that on this thread. On at least two separate campus, students put up pro Trump graffiti on campus. Students became up in arms, stating that they were victimized or traumatized by seeing the messages. In both cases, all that was written was "Trump 2016". REALLY? toughen up, you sack of whiney cry babies!! It would be different if it was some vulgur or threatening statements, but just" Trump 2016?" Don't take this as a pro Trump post, it could have said, "Hillery 2016"," Sanders 2016" or "Cruz 2016" and I would be just as pissed seeing the reaction these students had.
It doesn't matter who I, or anyone else supports for president. This issue runs much deeper. Since when has free political speech been censured on campus? Is it because we have raised a generation of intolerant pussies? They only hear what they want to hear, otherwise they feel "traumatized"?.
What many of these "highly educated" idiots don't realize, that one of the great things of this country is the right to express your views, be it political, social or just general opinions of life. If you don't agree, then feel free to counter argue, accept it, or shut up.
By attempting to censer, and prevent people from peacefully expressing their views, they are shooting them selves in the foot, and taking the first steps to facism. Another example , is the college professor who called for "muscle" to expel a reporter from recording a group of demonstrators, who where protesting for "safe spaces" from upsetting opinions. Mind you, that they protesting on public, land. They were offended that the reporter was just standing there, not inciting anyone, just recording the protest.
WTF is wrong with our next generation, I truly think that many young adults and kids have forgotten the principals on which this country was founded. They want total entitlement, and freedom, except when its inconvenient for them.
Sorry for the rant, I was just watching the news and watched this chic yell and scream about how all students should have free college, and that how the US should become a socialist nation.
OK all better now, thanks for letting me rant

Was that the chick that was on with Neil Cavuto yesterday that had the shirt that read something about socialism. Could not believe that Neil was wasting his time trying to convert a mush for brains bimbo to some kind of semblance of sanity. I only caught 1 minute while passing through the house but I know these folks. If it was not her the colleges are full of millions of others.
This gives me an idea. There are folks on here that would like to supplement their income. Just go to your nearest college and set up a shingle as a safe space therapist. You can probably get the college or government to pay for it. Just listen to these nubskulls and then tell them there there all will be well. You can always come around here to feel safe. Give them a hug ( very carefully ) and give them reassurance you will protect them from those evil boogey men ( oops ) boogey people. In the evening when dark you can put some chalk figures up to draw in more business. Might want to put a chalk likeness of Ronald Reagan up that says Shinning City on a Hill. That would be sure to get them steamed.

Nighthawk, They are not taught the principals upon which this country was founded. They are not taught american history, they haven't been for years. Most of the teachers and professors are liberal. My kids back in the 90's brought home propaganda on gun control and global warming, grade school kids! They don't know the constition, they think it should be changed,, because they have no history. They get their news from their social media.
My opinion, kids are being indroctrinated by the government.

They want freedom of speech for themselves. If you have a different point of view.they want you to STFU. Willingly ignorant, mouth foaming, Idiots and hypocrites. A young student black girl recently berated a white student with dreadlocks. Accused him of "cultural appropriation". many black women wear weaves made from straight hair. How many black women dye their hair white, blond, light brown etc? How many black people of either sex straighten their hair. Yet the black girl in the situation mentioned is oblivious of all that. Idiot. Watch the video. http://www.newser.com/story/222808/white-guy-with-dreads-accused-of-appropriation.html

Kids, Kids, Kids fault! What is the root cause of the kids of newer generations and kids of today! It is the results of bad parenting! Parents have the best intentions for their children, because they want to give their children what they didn't have,(Of course that is mostly material things, they speak of) the problem is the parents steals or strips the children of their creativity, and the ability to use rational reasoning. Question: what is the purpose of the so called fairy tales or little sayings like Stick and Stones, Goldie Locks, Three little Pigs and so on? Is it to entertain us! ABSOLUTELY NOT! It was a method devised by our elders to prepare our children for life, at a level they could understand. BUT!! One of the parents thought it would be cute to paint these characters on walls, make toys and put on clothing. Which over time, eventually lost their true purpose? I have seen parents, in the event a child was showing some creative expression, like making a tent, or tree house, go cart and so on, and the parents ran out and bought a manufactured matching item, because the child was being creative, (The parent basically took away the child’s drive and ability to use rational thought and be creative) This is where it all started from, the children of today are the results of the parents failure of parenting. Things Don’t Happen for any Reason!!! Have you noticed the young of today almost makes no sense, have you noticed of Music, TV programs, Movies are remakes of past successful entertainment. Is it maybe they have lost their ability to be inventive and creative and try and exploit the successful past. Don’t get me Wrong, there are still allot of good kids out there still, but the ratio of weak mindless kids are rising every day that have this “You Owe Me” “Me, Me, Me” mind set, and it is going to get worst. Like on the News, people want $15 to spit in our food and text all day. So the thing on campus should be a surprise to us!! Just my Observation!!! These are the things we created!

It has gone beyond college campuses. Last week or so a charter school cancelled a meet and greet with Cruz. They said the students rallied together and petitioned the head of the school to cancel the function, which of course, they did. When asked why, answers that were incorrectly distorted about the candidates position on certain issues were given. There were other protests to him speaking by hispanics and blacks in other places in the Bronx. One clip shows an hispanic man yelling and screaming about immigration and stating that he lives global warming every day. His exact words..... He lives global warming every day.
The left believe they are on the correct moral side of every issue, therefore, there is no other side. When you believe you are morally superior, everyone else must therefore have inferior views, values, thoughts, breaths through their mouths, howls at the moon, etc. There's a word for this........ what is it....... it's on the tip of my tongue........ Oh right,.......... bigotry.
BTW, it was the democrats who stopped the voucher program so that poor kids can't have a chance at attending the charter schools, which outperform the public schools that the kids are forced to attend based on what zip code they live in. Then underfund said schools so they are continually outperformed by those in lighter zip codes. But it's a republican candidate that is the enemy. THAT'S how powerful the media is.

Free college, what these kids don't understand is that if there is free college then one of two things will happen, BS or BA degree will mean nothing in the working world, the degrees will get water down, or people will have to take a test a placement test, and depending on how someone does will determine what they will do, you may get to go to college, but you may not have a say in what you go to college for, and if your test score saids that you are better at digging ditches then you will be a DITCH DIGGER. I don't know what happen or when it happen but it seems that somewhere along the line we our way, I know being a parent is very hard, maybe it was the birth of TV, and video games, just set the kid in front of a TV or later on give them a video game to keep them entertained because both parents where working there asses off, and we lost out in being with our kids, doing things together.
I don't know it just seems that the work ethic of young people is very low. But when I look out at the job market I'm glad that I have a good job and I feel bad for the kids growing up because we have become a country of consumers, we don't build anything any more.
I would love to have someone run for president and get rid of NAFTA I would vote for that person in a heart beat.
Sorry I kind of got on a roll.

Watching the new this morning and they where in Long Island talking to voters I only caught a little of what was said but 3 people said tghat they are not voting for Clinton, this one guy made a very good point, too many people are worried about them selves and don't understand the big picture, we need to look at doing what is good for the country. I think he hit the nail on the head.

Wow! That was a long diatribe filled with a lot of misdirected and misapplied information but touched on two accurate points. One is the "Me, me, me" mentality. It is overwhelming our culture today. the self centered perspective and general lack of concern for what it does to anyone else has pretty well destroyed a lot of folks effectiveness in contributing to a meaningful society (existence?). It's a somewhat natural trait but has been encouraged, contributed to, or not taught out of youngsters for maybe since the close of World War II, increasingly. There was a day when the young, at least some of the young, were taught that being part of a family was something bigger than determining whether the relationship was still contributing the most that he or she could get out of life. Being a part of and contributing to an organization from as small as a friendship or as large as a team, a church, an association, or a nation was of greater importance thane getting the most benefit one could from every commitment. Perhaps the most devastating question to arise in the recent history is, "What's in it for me." Dmaker is correct in that it is parenting that develops each successive generation as they grow into the mass of society. What he missed is that parenting is not simply provided by parents. A well known leader wrote a book titled It Takes a Village. Children for quite some time have been parented through their developing years by school systems, television and the media at large in addition to their familial elders. Some parents have pushed against it but it has been an increasingly losing battle. It's not the children. It's not the students. It's the culture. To some degree haven't we all particpated or contributed to what that culture has become, is becoming? Is not our children's fault. It's not our fault. It must be our grandparents' fault. What were they thinking? Wouldn't we have been so much better of had they stayed in Europe and left the native alone? It reminds me of what the tour bus driver told us in Boston. "It's not my fault; it's not your fault. It's the asphalt."

Gary, I believe I'm morally superior. If I did not I would be endeavoring to change. To do or think otherwise would be irresponsible. Incidentally, I breathe through my mouth. I do tend to believe that everyone who disagrees with me is either terribly misinformed or just incredibly stupid.

This, to me, is beyond idiotic. You want to protest, which means you WANT someone to see you and hear you complaint(s) in hopes that something will change. Then when a reporter shows up, someone who can show thousands of people what you are protesting for, you get upset about it????? If I were protesting for something, I would WELCOME a reporter and explain to him/her WHY I was there protesting. He/She can get my word out to a much larger audience than I could alone.
