Guess I been pretty lucky, I seen a lot of people go 7-8 yrs an have to usually have a couple stints put in an if they make it 15 yrs without having anything done then they should have a long life. Been having chest pain for 2 months now on my left side an had a bunch of tests done. Seems they want to award me with a stint er 2-3. I hope they can fix the plumbing. Kinda funny I know we can't live forever an I had a great life but what I'm scared of is them docs taken their sweet as time with a bunch of tests an not being able to find anything an have some sort of cancer end up fermenting inside me yet. They are basing things on A nuke stress test. So anywho I go to the body shop an they'll give me the test (?) That shows the heart an do some plumbing.   I guess if they can't fix her then they will abort an we'll look at plan xyz.

A nuke stress test is almost as good as a angioplasty without being as invasive. The advantage is  it will show if there is a problem in real time and shows all the arteries and all the blockages including the functioning of the heart and they will be able to tell if everything is functioning correctly. More than likely this is your pain and the worry about anything else is unwarranted. New stents can go in through the wrist and also minimally invasive so I really wouldn't worry to much about this either.
Its natural to worry about being around when you go through this kind of stuff, but don't let the worry get the better of you and life. We all go, we hope later than sooner and we hope not in bad ways but we all go. I doubt this is your time so don't be making any plans yet. Seen some pretty horrific things that you think the people are gone and their fine. Other times see something really small happened and people are gone. We dont know the time or the date.

. ..Hang in there brother, you have a pretty good track record so far.
Best thing you could have done is get away from those ciggs, and you
said yourself that you have made good progress ever since.

I'm 16 years out from a single bypass, had a stint put in 3 months before the bypass, and I never smoked a day in my life.  That said, I have some occasional chest pains over the years and have been checked out by the Doc's and so far so good. Since I'm 16 years older, 63 now, I guessing the aches and pains come with the territory. I've got a heart doctor check-up coming up soon and hoping for good news.

Hope you tests just show you're 12 years older and none to worse for wear!  cooldude
