Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. We have some terrible drivers here. (who doesn't?) I've had a dash cam in my car forever and I've recently started driving with a Gopro on my helmet. I seem to avoid a collision every 10 minutes and todays footage was actually fairly mild. Just idiots on phones. Is this a good idea? Bad idea? Will local shame reduce this by 1%? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rewddZToN0https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjR-HlhjyL8

Don't bother. All this stuff happens all the time. And some of the stuff you show is no big deal anyway, and a little grace on your part might prevent an ulcer for you. An example is at 2:23 of the second video; the Toyota SUV starts to turn onto your street from a side street on the left. As he makes his move, you decide to change into the lane he's about to turn into.

Also I would add in critiquing your riding. I prefer not to spend time next to cars if I don't have to. I think you would be better off either getting ahead of them or letting them get ahead of you. Not trying to be mean. Just saying it has served me well to be away from vehicles if possible. As far as the texting drivers, I don't know how to stop it. See it almost daily.

As far as texting on cell phone and driving at same time. Someone smarter than me has to develop an APP on ALL phones able to text that once engine starts, cell phones are disabled from texting. It is the law in most states I believe no texting and driving.
As far as PISS me off moments, yesterday at 7:30 a.m. driving the Valk to work, I was merging onto a 65 mph speed zone in right lane when I glimpse on over and see a dump truck spewing HUGE chunks of rocks and dirt clumps all over the left lane spreading over both lanes. I could not go faster to get past him since car was in front of me putzing and so I had to slow down to 50 mph for 100 yards behind him to not get too plastered even in the right lane him being in the left lane. It was the worst I have ever seen a dump truck spattering rocks and dirt all over doing 70 mph.
One rock/dirt chunk did hit me in my helmet and my entire front windshield and front fender and fairing and side pods are covered in small sprays of dirt, but doubt much damage. I'm afraid to clean it up and find out it is pretty bad. You know the dump truck spray is bad if 100 yards behind him or more and still getting hit with small debris.

Is there not a "covered load" requirement in your state? Colorado passed a law that all loads in an open bed of a commercial truck hauling dirt, gravel, stone, etc. must be covered to prevent spillage out of the back beds. This applies to tractor-trailer dumps etc. Did this just come off of the tailgate? If not, I guess all you can do is get his business ID and call it in to the guy's boss or even the local PD. There has to be some sort of road hazard law/dangerous cargo law or some kind of violation of a motor vehicle law that this mook could be ticketed for?

If you are avoiding problems that often, you might want to do a review of your riding skills.

In the youtube link you haven't removed YOU choose to pull alongside a driver failing to keep in their lane. Just so you can honk your horn?
In the youtube link you haven't removed YOU choose to try and cut off a car merging in to the right turn lane.
Why? So you can demonstrate to the world what a superior road user you are???
EDIT.
I know I sound a bit harsh but was simply trying to get you to take a different look at the situations.

As far as I know, dump trucks need no cover in WI since seen 1,000's loaded up with no covers at all down the road. It was coming from the back down by tailgate and sides and all over, no time to get the trucking companies name on the side door had to slow the F back down to 50 mph so he could get ahead of me 100+ yards. I'm no dump truck driver, but crap like that pisses me off is all over this spring road construction all over the F'ing place around me. How can the driver NOT see crap flying all over the place from the sides and back is beyond me - most don't give a hoot.

If you can't see the cager's eyes, he can't see you. That is the basic premise for safety. It doesn't matter how fast you're going, city, highway, day, night, rain, shine, whatever. Most people couldn't drive a sharp stick up a dead dog's butt. You're responsible for your own safety. LOOK FOR THE EYES!

In my opinion especially in your second video, it seems your out looking for trouble. You knew the car in front of you wanted in the right turn lane and you sped up almost beside them so you could blow your horn. I would have given you the finger too. You seriously need to rethink your driving strategies before you get yourself or someones else hurt.

Like said, I try whether in car or on cycle or scooter, AVOID cars at all cost. If I see people coming up slowly from a distance behind me, I try to speed up some to keep them from coming up closer to me on the hwy. If cars in front of me, I keep my distance aways back or blow by them.
sometimes though in heavier traffic is obviously unavoidable and that is when it can get dicey.
Like am sure everywhere, almost daily I see a driver with their cell phone either glued to their ear or looking down texting. Both just tick me off as well, especially when few years ago in my truck heading to work I see 2 young girl teens age 16-18 tops BOTH texting in front of me at a stop light that turned green for 10 seconds while I beeped the horn at them to get the F a moving. I blew by them and looked over and BOTH flipped me off adn kept right on texting both the driver and front passenger. Those girls are lucky I was not in a pissy mood otherwise I would have called the cops.
