Well, it's been a cold heartless bitch of a winter, and this spring her wicked wench sister has taken the reins and crapped all over my parade.  Three weekends in a row of "wintry mix".    tickedoff  I've been trying to get Big Bertha over the great Divide and Monarch pass for some very needed maintenance.  Finally saw an opening -- clammy and rainy -- to get over there today, and had it all set up.  But Mr. Murphy's Law set in, and the weatherman has some severe stuff in the forecast all weekend and a 40% chance of SNOW on Monarch Saturday evening and Sunday when I'd planned to return.

Check out this beautiful scene:

Cum'on man, you know the drill.  No snow, no water; no water, no creeks; no creeks, no irrigation; no irrigation, no hay; no hay, no ranch.  No ranches, no Gunnison Valley.  It'll all be good in a couple more weeks.
Head west, it's a dry ride to Montrose.  Is there someone in Salida that services Valkyries?

If I had to choose as to whom to bring back, I'd pick Stevie Ray over Prince by a very large margin; he was destined for greater things.

Your right Willopad, we do deal with some of nature's worst to live in some of her best country.  It'll shine when it shines...

And agreed on SRV vs. Prince.  I loved Stevie Ray, and his music never dies.  BTW, anyone here familiar with Boot Liquor web radio station?  Lots of good Texas Roadhouse music, I love the station.  Can get a little twangy sometimes, but if you love Roadhouse and sh!t kickin' music it's worth checking out.
