Well, it's been a cold heartless bitch of a winter, and this spring her wicked wench sister has taken the reins and crapped all over my parade. Three weekends in a row of "wintry mix".

I've been trying to get Big Bertha over the great Divide and Monarch pass for some very needed maintenance. Finally saw an opening -- clammy and rainy -- to get over there today, and had it all set up. But Mr. Murphy's Law set in, and the weatherman has some severe stuff in the forecast all weekend and a 40% chance of SNOW on Monarch Saturday evening and Sunday when I'd planned to return.
Check out this beautiful scene:

And yes, great song!

Cum'on man, you know the drill. No snow, no water; no water, no creeks; no creeks, no irrigation; no irrigation, no hay; no hay, no ranch. No ranches, no Gunnison Valley. It'll all be good in a couple more weeks.
Head west, it's a dry ride to Montrose. Is there someone in Salida that services Valkyries?
If I had to choose as to whom to bring back, I'd pick Stevie Ray over Prince by a very large margin; he was destined for greater things.
