Most of my morning spent dealing with motels . My hometown has the local famous gospel group The McKamey's putting on a weekend concert with groups from all over coming in. All the motels are booked its like The Stones are coming to Clinton , Tennessee. I made the best deal possible with a Motel 6 in Knoxville , Tennessee . The cost is $48.06 with tax included. You need a room for Friday June 10 and let them know you are with " JOE'S RIDE " so they can group us together as much as possible. This motel is within walking distance of Red Lobster / Outback Steak House so if you want a adult beverage with supper you can do so and not have to get back on the bike. My friend Paul ( Wimp ) and I have planned a ride through the backroads I think anyone joining us will enjoy. Please post back here if you make reservations to ride with us that way I'll know if I need to find a motel for us Saturday night June 11 . Do you have any idea what route you are going to take from Knoxville. The reason I am asking is if you are going to be coming my way thru Eastern Ky. along U.S. 119. It is pretty good roads and it is a direct route to Charleston, WV. and Morgantown. Following will get you on IS 64 to 79 and 68 on into Ground Zero and exit 7. If you pick up Hal Rogers Parkway out of London, Ky toward Hazard. Pick up route 80 and it will lead to U.S. 23 south and at Pikeville, Ky and you can pick up U.S. 119 there at the entrance to Walmart. It will be a left toward Meta-Williamson, Wv. It is very scenic and A L L the road is four lanes and is an easy ride. The traffic is sparse but sporatic at times. It will depend on the times you go thru and I would expect that it will be quite light all the way. You have been on U.S. 23 when you went by Eric C. Conn's law office. By the way---HE WAS CONVICTED AND WILL BE SPENDING PRISON TIME....
Just thought I would ask as it is a very nice road and more direct than any other road that I know of. I think you guys and gals will really like it, There are several places to eat and rest if needed. Be seeing you'all very soon and safe travels which ever way you go. Check on maps to verify the route so you can see the routes

I'm not going to Inzane but would like to come along for the ride.
Then I'll head back home down the BRP.
Heavy on backroads some I can't remember the names however I know where they are and where they go . Wild guess about the closest place I'll get near the BRP will be Marion , Va before we cross The Back Of The Dragon.  |

I appreciate the response Gabby however a " direct route " is the last thing we want to do . We plan on hittin' mostly rural backroads and two-laners all the way... You should just jump on I-75 south and come join us  |

As of now we have folks from Alabama / Georgia / Mississippi / Florida / South Carolina and The Great State Of Tennessee joining us . Stay tuned for information on the Saturday June 11 motel in Lewisburg , WV . My friend Ron ( Wolf ) who lives there is going to do the leg work on getting us a room. Just playing it safe mainly because I always have more folks show-up than I thought and we don't need to ride all day Saturday and find out the motels are all booked up in Lewisburg , WV .

UPDATED ...Saturday June 11 motel information.... The motel for Saturday night will be in Lewisburg , WV . The name is Motel M on the internet however they are changing over to Motel 6 . My friend Ron ( Wolf ) did the leg work and Lewisburg is proud of their motel rooms and we got a decent deal .... Rooms are $54.49 tax included and that price is for double or single. So was I when I talked to the motel today he said the rate was $59.99 plus tax and since we was getting several rooms he would give them to us for $49.99 plus tax . Your posted total is $64.29 My link total is $54 Like I said just trying to save riders a few bucks. I don't do links I go or in this case have a friend go check the place out . It's fine with me if the link does in fact work ... Go For It . I'm very confused. it's the same motel. I didn't find the motel . I just searched for the one you posted. It is right next to some of the stock yards for the fair... As of now we have folks from Alabama / Georgia / Mississippi / Florida / South Carolina / New Jersey / Louisiana / Kentucky / Indiana and The Great State Of Tennessee joining us .
Joe, if you could, give me an idea what time y'all expect to depart Lewisburg...I might could add a North Carolinian to that list ^. I'll likely be in Fredericksburg, Va the night before. I could leave there well before the crack of dawn to join your ride if you are leaving at a leisurely, gentlemanly after breakfast time.....(it's only 202 miles for me to catch ya before you go). We typically leave places around 9:00... there's a McSomething in Fairlea, we'll probably spend a half hour there... just guessing... Ron showed us a greasy spoon on the other side of Lewisbug, maybe we'll eat breakfast there instead... -Mike Ron ( Wolf ) is from Lewisburg and will be taking the lead on Sunday to show us some of his favorite roads as we head for Ground Zero . Sunday will be less miles than Saturday so I'm guessin' A.O.S. around 9:00 / 9:30 ....
