I have enough trouble keeping up my small house as it is.

I suppose if you can afford these, you can afford to hire people to do the upkeep.

Also, they should have posted the annual property taxes.

Why?

Makes absolutely no sense to be in debt like this the rest of your life.

My one rich elderly neighbors, he recently passed age 93, just the widow near age 90 left,  built 3 houses above me on the hill a million dollar home.  His property taxes are like 15 grand per year vs. mine 3 grand.  Who can afford to even afford the taxes, let alone live in a mansion for just 1 elderly lady, although her being very rich?  More like who, once she dies in a few years,  buy that home =  NO ONE will for NO ONE in their right mind would live in this hicktown on top of a hill who is rich.

My other neighbors pushing age 40,  up our hill next door to the other rich elderly lady, just got done last year building a near guessing 700K home with VERY big 3 car garage.  They I doubt are rich with 3 kids age 15 on down to 2 years old and am sure have a 30 year mortgage on that house am sure with house payments barely affordable.

Morale of my point:  people live well beyond their means of reasonable, affordable living and for what?  Status symbol??

The builder of those mansion homes is 2 houses up from me also a nice 300K+ home had the balls to come up to me when we built our small 1104 sq. ft. ranch home on our 100x110' city lot below them on same street in 1993 when I was only age 23.  He had the nerve to confront me informing me driving by, which at that time I had no clue who he was,  telling me he doesn't like the way our 'plain jane'  ranch home looked or fit in with the other homes 'up the street'.  I kindly told him face to face to F' off and then some and walked away, haven't spoken to him since that day in 1993.  My house is not the smallest on the street, but 2nd smallest, but I say live and let live if don't have anything somewhat neutral or nice to say,  shut the yap!  Wink

Good for you, stuck up snob. Some people just need to be put in their place once and awhile.
