"That's just like, your OPINION, Man!"

NEAR the "In 'n' Out Burger"

Last Thursday after work I went down to the old neighborhood.
It turns out here was a Cinco de Negro celebration going on in the shadows of the Ambassador Bridge that connects Detroit to or Canadian friends to the South.

Bridge is visible above the taco factory. there is a Slingshot if you look close

This is near where my grandfather from Italy set down roots in the USA a hundred years ago after serving in the Italian Navy during WWI. It was a largely Italian neighborhood at the time, but is now a thriving Mexicantown neighborhood that goes for miles from the bridge down Vernor HWY. Gramps' old house was razed in the 60's for I-75.

There were a lot of bikes, but I did not take pics of the owners (never a wize move in certain circles   coolsmiley )
Some of the patches present were the "Soul Stars", "Boogie Down Bike Club" (my fav in matching lavendar custom leathers), and the Bergman Riders on some WILD Ass Customs!
I had so much fun that I had to leave after an hour or two  tickedoff

Thanks Man! I grew up in the shadow of the bridge. Went to school on Vernor and Junction. Played hockey at Clark park with the Bagley boys who ruled that park back in the 60's. Ate way to many coney's at Duly's. been away for to long. time for a visit.

Back When, I was on my way to Fort Wayne for induction physical, I drove down Jefferson from what I recall. Under the bridge area reminded me of something I seen in a movie. I don't think I have ever been over the Ambassador bridge, Blue Water I have and many times thought the tunnel. Will have to take the Valk across it one day, and go shopping in Windsor.
