I watched him ride that bike.  He mounted the saddle just like anyone else.  Tigger was a little big to be sitting on the tanks.   Wink

I can confirm Willow's synopsis of the situation:

He even let me try it out... (Ack! I was just a kid back then! I think these pics were taken around summer of 2001)

And on a slightly more germane vein to your query, here's a closeup of the tanks I found:

And while digging I found another classic mostly solo setup. Although the rider's still with us, I believe this particular bike no longer is thanks to an errant deer (If I recall correctly)

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Tammy likes to ride too much for a solo treatment.
She would kill me without ceremony.
I'd like a ceremony.

Go take the back seat off snap a picture, make a heavy sigh and put it back on.  Believe you me Sherry is the same way. Solo is rare for me however I'm glad she is so into it.  cooldude

I went solo this winter, so this is a work still in progress. I am trying to find a MC Products solo rack to match the luggage racks on the hard bags but they seem to be made of unobtainium.

You are correct, an errant deer took her out.  However, she has been resurrected.  She is currently the red and white that Chase Kinter rides.

Where the heck was that pic taken?

Hey Nick, it ain't a Honda Davidson unless you also have HD controls as well.  Grin  That lets you have separate turn signal buttons and self-canceling turns. Picture is about 10 yrs. old before I got the present leathers for the bike. I will say this....those controls have never given me a minutes trouble, especially the start switch.

I had never seen this beauty before. If I'm reading this correctly, this was F6 gals bike?

The paint job, with the similar theme on the front fender, tank, and bags  was spectacular.

Sorry that it was wrecked, but glad it has risen like a Phoenix, to be be back amongst us in a different iteration!

Wow

Of all the black solos on this thread, including mine, this to me is the pick of the litter.

Everything is tastefully done, sharp as a razor, and the Woodys fairing, plus the gobs of chrome provide the icing on the cake.

Well done Jake! Shes a beauty.
