There.s the village of "Longview" that I head to quite often for a couple reasons.

The riding distance is perfect for an evening ride after work no matter the route you take to get there.
Last night "havoc" and myself took the long way as the temperature played into our hands and at this time of year the spring time shades of green are vibrant!

Funny thing about this village is how good the food is at the establishments there. One place in particular you need at minimum, 2 weeks advanced booking to get in ........ you will not be disappointed! Last night we sat on the patio at a different place and had a great chunk of "Alberta" beef with a pop or two! Doesn't get better than this!!!

Sent this pic to "DDT". Told him I was "taking one for the team"!  cooldude

All these years I've been travelling to Calgary for work, and I've never heard of Longview... checked out their website and it looks like a very cool place... right up my alley. I'm meeting up with a few bikes in Fargo ND for the ride out to WV in a few weeks and will be heading back with them as well, and was planning on crossing back into Canada from there to head back home. I will defintely make a point of checking out Longview along the way...thx for posting cooldude

Betcha those boys on the fire lines would kill to be sittin' at your table!
Every extra firefighter in the province been mobilized to go up north, eh?
Looks like formidable country and I'd bet that they won't have it out until first snowfall...September maybe?  How much of a run has it taken?

I'm unable to attend InZane this year unfortunately but feel free to make contact if you this way as I'd certainly meet up with you circumstances permitting for both of us.

September can be the hottest month of the summer\fall so I hope it starts to rain up there. We haven't had any rain as well but they are saying possibly tomorrow. From what I have read today the fire is covering 1764 sq miles!!!  Cry
