Federal Law: Title 18. Section 2071
Former United States Attorney General Michael Mukasey tells MSNBC that not only is Hillary Clinton's private email server illegal, it "disqualifies" her from holding any federal office.

Such as, say, President of the United States.

"If you do this or that bad thing, you've essentially disqualified yourself as being the leader of the free world," said Mukasey, referring to the illegal server and the illegal handling of classified materials.

Mukasey specifically points to one federal law, Title 18. Section 2071.

For those of us who do not have United States Code committed to memory, here's what it says:

“(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or
other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

(b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined
under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.”

Yes, it explicitly states "shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States."

Shouldn't voters know that?  The media won't tell them.  So it's up to us.  Can you help hold Hillary accountable?

So far, obviously it doesn't. She's far beyond it.

She ADMITS that she did a number of those things!  She said it was just bad judgement, and she should not have.

However, doing those things, even UNINTENTIONALLY, breaks the law, and disqualifies one for office.  She admitted she did them INTENTIONALLY!

Will the law apply to her?  Who knows.  So far, she has gotten away with every "law skirting" she has done her whole career.

The problem is who is POTUS...he won't let anything happen to his preferred predecessor.  If Trump was president right now, Hillary would have rust on her prison cell bars!

Oh, yes. But, in this country, there are rules for some, and rules for others.

She will probably have to be convicted, still supposedly being investigated.

I really believe any ordinary regular citizen would be in jail for what she has admitted she did. And probably already been there a year or longer.   DPHIP, Ok for her,  not ok for others. Wasn't General Petraeus  (Republican) fired for the mishandling of TWO classified emails on his personal server,..I believe  so. General Petraeus was a good man. He lost his career for much less. Nixon resigned for much less . (when Nixon was the President we had an attorney general that had the balls to actually do his job.  There are some here that will say that this  is "only a conspiracy put out by the Republican's ", to 'get' H.   I would say, "where is the lie"?  Either this happened or it didn't happen, and  we all KNOW that this did happen, the mishandling of classified emails by H and by the General.   H has stated that this did happen, she did do it .  So where is the indictment ?  If this  women is not indicted the FBI has effectively been neutered , completely ! And there is no justice at all.  JMHO.

Don't think computer servers had anything to do with Petraeus's troubles.  He provide 8 notebooks containing highly classified information to his mistress and biographer. Also lied to the FBI. Agree he is a good man and American who made a few bad decisions like any person does.

What was that Robin Williams used to say - God gave man a brain and a penis, but only enough blood to run one at a time.

Still less than what she did.  Two guilty one paid for it the other did not.  She is still guilty for what she did. Changes nothing.

I looked around some about this, and found it to seem pretty accurate.

In the process, I stumbled over this  coolsmiley :

In December 1996, Director John Deutch resigned after it was discovered that he had stored highly classified documents on his home computer, which was connected to the Internet.

After a criminal investigation, Deutch agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor and pay a $5,000 fine. But before the prosecutors could file the papers in federal court, President Bill Clinton pardoned him on his last day in office.
