I haven't ridden the Log Truck for a few weeks... covered in pollen...
started in one push of the button  cooldude

The lying liars said it wasn't going to rain today, so I left my
rain gear in the black bike...

The rain was mild when it came, nice really... everything smelled great... up the hill
where I was headed they still have laurel and privet blooming...

Joe and Wimp and Gordon and Stanley Steamer followed me through here a few months
ago...

Hey, I never go down this road, where does it go?

Walhalla... swell... if you're in Walhalla on a motorcycle, you might as well head up 28!

28 sucked. Wrecks. More wrecks. Cars in the ditch, cars smashed up. And a jeep thing of some sort,
they were pouring out of the stumphouse tunnel road like ants...

So... back to the pig trails...

The rain left some kind of film on the outer lens of the little camera, so
I'll spare you most of the rest of the pictures... I got gas at longcreek around
four... that's the same time the good BBQ place just down the hill from there
opens  Wink

Me and Carolyn and Joe and DDT ate here one night, great ribs  cooldude

The lens dried off or something while I was eating, here's the road to the BBQ place...
you know it is good BBQ when it is 45 minutes from anywhere down a road that goes
dirt...

Look who turned 17 a couple of weeks ago...

-Mike

Mike, is there something different about your bike? It looks like it sits a little different....I like the look.

This year I took off the slightly tired Honda triple-tips and put
a good set of OEM tips back on, plus these chrome piggie extenders
that stick out from the tips just a little bit. And I got a set of
Cobra pivot covers I've had for a long time re-chromed and
installed them... other than that the Log Truck is pretty static...

Good report, Mike, as always! I remember that BBQ place well, and the weekend that provided the reason for Joe and me to be there. Really, really good ribs for sure... Hope you'll take Joe and me there again one of these days...

Mike, I have a set of the older Cobra pivot coves that I have not put on. They do not have any double-sided tape on them yet. When I hold them in place against the frame they do not seem to fit flush against the frame around the swingarm pivot. They 'rock' a little. Both sides do these. What thickness doublesided-tape did you use with these? These are fairly heavy units and i would hate for them to come off.

I'm glad yours rock too, that means mine aren't warped  Smiley

I covered the backs with 3M doubled sided "Super Strength Molding Tape"  from
Advance... there's several kinds of 3M double sided tape, and some of them are
wimpy, but if it says Super Strength or some such on it, it is the non-wimpy kind.

Since they only open at 4:00, it would be hard to go there from
the Fall Color Ride, or at least, we'd be riding back through
the woods in the dark...

Thanks for the info and the picture, Mike. I could not believe that they were warped, as thick as they are. I thought they would fit flush against the frame.

Mike,

Where can you find the chrome piggie extenders?

Where can you find the chrome piggie extenders?

I got them a long time ago from the bigbikethings.com guy... I don't
think he makes them anymore, though he still makes a lot of other
stuff for Valkyries...

Numerous people seemed interested when I first posted that picture,
maybe he'd make more if contacted and told about the interest...

chrisj made some from non-chromed pipe and painted them black,
that's an option...
