...Naturally Ive had a heavy eye on the weather like I do every year.
Its been beautiful all week, with today being sunny and 84 degrees.
But they have been talking about rain towards the end of the week
since Monday. First it was just Thursday and Friday, and sunny on
Saturday with a small chance of showers. But this morning they
changed that to cloudy and 60 % chance of rain on Saturday.

Now we have had good luck for the last 11 years, with showers
only once on the day of the Q and it still went on and all had fun.
Worst case scenario, if we get rained out Saturday, the Q will go
on Sunday as we have said before. We have been hard at work all
week, getting prepared and are keeping our fingers crossed, that
this will be ...Lucky 12..  cooldude

I think it might be like here in WI the past few days,  HIT or MISS showers.  30 miles north got tons of brief heavy rains, where we live not a drop the past 2 days.  We need the rain though, just tell mother nature to rain during M-F during the mid-day hours while most work and ONLY at nights...   Roll Eyes

. . ...I agree Mister Cookiedough. ...being surrounded by the Great Lakes,
the weathermen have fefinitely made a fine art out of guessing..  crazy2

...But just to make sure Chili went out and rented a big ol tent,
so the Q WILL be Saturday, come rain or shine !!!

. ..oh yeah.....come hungry..  coolsmiley

Fritz and I still plan on being there we will leave Two Rivers Wis at at 8am Friday.
So I should not wash the bike before.
But I should bring rain gear and extra dry pants.
And not eat for about 3 days before.

. ...Jack, I like the way you think. A lot f other folks
have told me the same thing. Being Michigan, and
surrounded by the Great Lakes, you know the weather
is fickle around here and weathermen have made a fine
art of knowing what the weather is going to
be and guessing. The Q will go on Saturday no matter
the weather, and I,ll make sure there are a couple burgers
with your name on em.. .  cooldude

. ...Good question, be aware that a lot of Grayling is under construction right now,
and if you are coming into town from I - 75, they have a detour set up and the
dreaded orange barrels are everywhere. Good news is, they detour you right into
the burbs to a stop sign just a few streets from our house. On top of that, the weather
seems to be getting worse by the day, and they are now "showing" a black cloud for
Saturday with lightening and rain coming out of it, but like I said, We are setting up
a big tent. I sent you my cell number in a PM , in case you have any questions/problems.

I'd like to get there from Allegan as well. I have a house in Baldwin and planned on stopping there Friday night. I will keep an eye on the weather to and it all seems to what channel I watch as to the weater forcast. 8 is usually pretty good but their forcast differs from Fox 17. I will see what shakes out..never has worked for me in the past but this years timing is right but will the weather cooperate some?

My guess, just like the weatherman, is it will rain sometime on Saturday, but not an all day washout hit or miss showers starting at 4 p.m..     Roll Eyes

If so,  at least most of the days EATING FEST will be over with just will get a good workout riding in the rain going home.

Smart move on the tent solving any issues, but had to help setup one of those huge tents once and will need a few people to help out.

Have fun y'all, gotta go to my daughter's high school graduation Saturday at 1 p.m..  Hard to believe it is all over with already.  Where did the past 10+ years gone?   Soon in another few months she will be out of the house for good in college....   Cry Cry Cry  Weird for sure.   Sad
