One dragon on the tail of another.

What is the origin of the name of this thing called "Inzane"?
Sue wants to know more about the thing that takes me away from her for a week or more each year.

Sue will get on the back and go for day rides of up to 200 miles but only after I put the passenger seat and back rest on.  Go figure.  She has never traveled with me on any of my motorcycles, and that's just fine.  We have talked about the down sides of traveling on two wheels and Sue is just to much of a lady to put up with that.  I'm just gratefull that she has put up with me for 42+ years.  Also, Lady Val (my '98 Tourer) refuses to be trailered just so Sue can go along.  We have this thing going on.

I have some suspicions of the origin of Inzane, but would also like to know more.  See you in Morgantown...

I may be way out of line, because, I'm dealing with my memory and it was quite some time ago.

I believe if I'm right the name came from the first location, Zanesville Ohio.

Patrick is correct.  The first InZane was held in Zanesville, OH.  Somewhere in the early planning, the name InZane was tossed out and stuck.  When we moved from Zanesville, the name was retained, because it had come to mean this annual gathering of Valkyrie InZaniacs.

You can't do much about the length of your life, so focus on the width.

Thanks, that was one of my suspicitions.  There is little info on the web site regarding the origin of the VRCC.  I first discovered it around 2005...

There are wives who attend InZane but prefer not to ride distance.  Their loving husbands fly them in commercially and pick them up at the airport.   Roll Eyes

Ouch...

Just to set the record straight, I presented Carl's suggestion to Susan and she declined.  We reached an understanding very early in our relationship and she has never tried to get between me and my motorcycles.  Now if I went off with the other girl in the household, Lucy (the dog), it would be another story...
