So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

I was asked this question the other day by a friend and have no clue.

Does anyone make a Navigation HUD for motorcycles?   Seen a few for cars but they don't appear to be wx proof.

Sitting here thinking, I "think" an HUD mounted in a helmet would be cool.   May not be practical or safe but, cool it would be.  Smiley

Well, this is just being developed, add a few air vents and we're almost there.  Wink

I am a little confused!  Why would you want a HUD on a motorcycle. Have we got so lazy, that we can't even look down at our gauges. I guess it is OK if you want a cute toy, but I don't think we need another distraction. You got to be alert on a bike.

IMHO, both the GPS's I currently use are distractions.    Again, my opinion.    HUD projects an image you can look through.   So, I'm not so sure it's worse than focusing on a small screen versus looking through that picture.    Never used one so, it's really not a  valid opinion but, I'd like to try it.   YMMV.

Let see!  How long have motorcycles been around, I think they have been suffering looking down, and focusing for a few years.  LOL!   GPS, just listen when it gives directions, you don't have to look at it. Again, it is kind of a cute toy.  The thing that bugs me about technology is, it starts as a cute toy, then becomes standard in vehicles, which costs us a bundle to buy the vehicles, and $100 an hour to fix it.  You know what I mean. I guess in my mind, a motorcycle is not a LazyBoy, it is serious business and got to pay attention. Just my view, don't mean to knock the wind out of your sails.

You didn't knock the wind out of my sails, I like to motorboat.  Smiley

As stated previously, I was asked about this and thought I'd investigate and ask for input.   You have provided that.   cooldude

I have hud on my Corvette and is quite visible day or night but not with nav capabilities. It is especially valuable at night. I spend almost all my mental capabilities watching for deer here in western Ky so I'll take all the help I can get!

I write my directions for each trip on my windshield in wax pencil. Cheap HUD.
