Wow.  No shots fired.  Maybe the South should have put it to vote instead of that Ft Sumter thing.

Relax, just having some fun.

Nice to see the Brits finally standing up for themselves again...

Now that Brexit is a thing, we're next, time for a Texit!

A couple of tipping points

Having the central European government forcing laws, rules and regulations on member countries without the approval of the countries.

Having open borders and then allowing millions of illegal immigrants into the member countries.

Hey doesn't that ring a bell for us in the USA???

I'm looking forward to those who wanted to remain packing up and leaving as they claimed they would.

I believe the Brits finally got fed up with the Muslim influx, and decided they didn't want to become the minority, knowing if it came to that their country would become part of the Calipate.

I'm fed up with our nations immigration policy.
My parents immigrated to this country after WWII, but they wanted to assimilate into the culture.

We need to close our borders, deport any and all aliens that have not applied for citizenship, and do extensive background checks during their deportation process.

If we don't take action very soon, we may face even worse socio-economic issues that have plauged the UK since joining the EU.
Even though I would never trust Putin, I'd like our nations leaders to follow his hard line immigration policies.

Lord help us,....we can not sesede from the global economy.

Nothing will every happen under Obama, or Clinton.  more of the same, PC crap and egg shells.

If Trump does nothing else except seal the southern boarder and remove bunches of potential terrorists and prevent many more from coming in, Id vote for him quick fast and in a hurry

Socialism can work if everyone loves it.

But it routinely breaks..... badly.  So they do the right thing and jump out of the EU.

It is not a one-world Govt, screw a one-world G, I like nationalism (up to and sometimes including war, when necessary).

They threw the EU out.......we need to throw the UN out (of our hemisphere).

The UN is the World Socialist Organization, and belongs in the EU, not here.

Just for starters.

I think it's a riot after obummer went over there and stuck his muzzy nose into their affairs and said they should stay in the union. He screwed up this country and goes preaching over there. Idiot got a slap in the face,Good.

Britman makes valid points. Right or wrong a lot of folks believed the bureaucracy was stifling the economy. As for the influx of Muslims, change is always going to cause anxiety.  Still, I expected the opposite result.  It sure has unsettled investors.  We can only wait for the consequences whatever they may be.  Hope they're more positive than not.  Oh, there was one shot fired unfortunately.

Greece was very interesting especially when the government came in and took all the peoples savings that they had in the bank without permission without warning.

No they didn't.

The government in Cyprus stole money from investors.

Good points Momz but we don't need to adopt putin's immigration policies.  Just adopt MEXICO's own immigration policy.  Jail everyone who comes in here illigally and be done with it .

Just curious, for those who are against the idea of a peoples throwing off the shackles of a far away oppressive overbearing government when the relationship just isn't working out any longer...

...what exactly is it that you celebrate on the 4th of July?

I didn't used to think so (for a long time), but like small Iceland, maybe we'd have been better off to have stayed as 13-50 nations, with some essential basic confederation, but not a Federal G at all.  Let the Free Sh!t Army feed itself, or not.

Why is this any different than any one of the many articles are posted on this board every day? I wasn't trying to prove a point, wasn't trying to back up a claim, wasn't trying to do anything other than post an article that might have some bearing on the day's events. Is that so hard to comprehend?

No different.  Just that a few days ago, a conservative here posted a link, or a comment from, a conservative, at least in I believe, your view, and it was stated that since it was from  a biased source, it would NOT be read.  So, when you, a liberal, post a link to a VERY liberal source, it just seems to be that one should follow his own statements.

Wonderful speaker and advocate.  Smart man.  I'd vote for him.

If more of ours sounded like this, I might watch Cspan more often.

But we get catered sit-ins (temper tantrums) by freedom haters.  (who BTW apparently made big money for their future campaigns with their little melodrama)
