Pretty bike!  If it was as well maintained mechanically as it is on the outside, it should last you for many many years,

Why is the auxiliary light pointed left?

Those highway boards should be fine across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and most of Alberta, but I would adjust them up before attempting mountain roads.

Running boards have been adjusted. First ride they were scraping almost every turn. Light has been tighten and I have given it quick go over. Bike has been maintained at dealer and has new tires front and rear. I will be doing my own maintenance now.

Is there a way of lowering the windshield with trimming. The edge is right at my line of sight. Other option raising the Mustang seat

RGM, I don't know how much you know about our "Jade Ladies" as they have been called, but there was only 318 Tourers painted as such for the '98 model year.  The color combination did not appear in any other Valkyrie sub-model or in any other year.  It was very unpopular in 1998 and these would often stay crated up in dealers back rooms.  Today, this '50 color is very popular and desired.  It is usually the first thing that is commented on when people stop to admire my Valkyrie...

Uh oh.   Shocked

Windshields can be slanted back a bit or one can be carefully trimmed using a low speed on a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade.

Someone asked about a backrest.  Backrests are only for those who need them.  You're probably not that old yet.

Hehe, this color combination was pretty rare when I started looking to buy my Valk in 2003. My wife saw the colors and fell in love with it. She made some snarky comment like, " well, if you can find one of those rare colors, you can buy it." So, I took that as a challenge. You can see the result. I love her... oh, and my wife too....... One of the reasons I bought a valk was this forum. I have been a member for over a month and there are lots of helpfull members here.

Can anyone tell me how to get into that elusive 6th gear. Lol

You don't need a sixth gear with these beasts, heck, you don't even need five...

HEY BOB!!  Where did you get the 318 number ?

The expert here says 400  http://www.valkyrienorway.com/Production%20By%20Color.html

Well Tom, the 318 number came from a post on this site, as I remember it.  So the number is qualified by "as I remember it".   Roll Eyes
