Obama blamed every conservative group for the Pulse shooting ? I follow the news pretty good and never saw that. If you would care to enlighten me with some quotes ?

IF THE ORLANDO SHOOTER DOESN'T REPRESENT ALL MUSLIMS, WHY DOES HE REPRESENT ALL GUN OWNERS?

What is the first thing O'Idiot and the liberals start preaching after a mass shooting by a Muslim? Gun control.

Great point Pappy maybe someone should ask O that same freakin question! Can you imagine the blank stare that would get 2funny 2funny 2funny
And Meathead you just don't get it dude Background checks are already in place. But someone decided that he didn't warrant looking into further after being on an FBI watch 3 times.
Bighead, the statement was made that Obama blamed the shooting on all conservative groups. How is that ?

Basically "all conservative groups" are legal gun owners. The ones that do not cause these incidents.
This is nothing more than trying to put in place baby steps toward the path of gun confiscation.
The system failed us on this one. He was already on a watch list and dropped by the Fed. Why blame all gun owners for a Federal screw up?

Because they truly believe that ANYONE with a gun, or the ability to get a gun, except for those getting them illegally, are a hair-trigger away from becoming a mass murderer.

Every real terrorist attack blows my facebook thing wide open with voices from the left equating Islamic terrorism with one off mass murders.  I can't understand this.  I see nothing equating Sandy Hook and the Brussels or Turkish airports, or Orlando.  The word terrorism is being watered down.  Why?

I've seen the reports that a majority of conservatives support certain gun control measures.  I don't believe them.

That's good Carl, because it's a bald faced lie.
____________

Stop wasting time on ANY more gun control laws because you can't get them passed, period.

Instead start using the laws we have to go after criminals, terrorists, and crazy people.  This is not a gun problem, it is a human problem.  And it will take a lot more hard work than just passing ANY new law.

I'm pretty sure the majority of conservatives believe in gun control measures to ensure proper accuracy and efficiency in hitting the target or targets.

Republicans are to blame for a failure to enact common sense gun laws.  Democrats have been trying for years to get laws passed (like no fly no gun buy) that would've prevented the Orlando shooter from obtaining weapons, but nooooo.... Republican legislators are fully owned by the NRA.  Willow, even the NRA knows it is an absolutely horrible idea to promote the idea that people who are drinking in a club should be carrying weapons.  Anyone who thinks that is a good idea really needs to have their head checked because "their mind isn't working right".

How about the next time a white guy like the kids in Columbine, or the shooters in Sandy Hook, Aurora, or an abortion clinic commit gun violence we put a "temporary ban" on white Christians entering this country until "we can figure out what the hell is going on."

Was the guy that was mailing anthrax muslim?  What about the unabomber?  How about the Oklahoma City bomber?  Refresh my memory, was the Crusades a holy war perpetrated by Muslims?  The Spanish Inquisition?  Was the holocaust perpetrated by Muslims?  I don't remember hearing about any Muslim serial killers.  Was the zodiac killer, son of Sam, Jeffrey Dahmer Muslims?  Hmm are we seeing a pattern?  Maybe we need to start racially profiling white Christians?

The idea that the solution to reducing gun violence is more guns shows a lack of mental acuity or at the least a shred of logic.  Is the solution to drunk driving more alcohol?  Is the solution for helping a drowning man more water?  Maybe what we need to reduce arson is more matches?  There are already more guns in America than there are people.

You are really drinking the Koolaid.

no fly, no gun  would NOT have prevented Orlando.  The shooter had been investigated TWICE by the FBI, and CLEARED.  He was NOT on the no fly list. So, Liberals need to stop LYING about that!

Tell us HOW that would have "prevented the Orlando shooter from obtaining weapons"?  Please.

What law have the Democrats proposed that would have actually STOPPED him from getting a gun?  He broke NO LAWS. He was NOT on any "LIST". He was a citizen.  The ONLY law that would have prevented him from LEGALLY obtaining a weapon, would be if NO CITIZEN WAS ALLOWED TO HAVE A GUN, PERIOD.

And, that would only have prevented him from legally having one.  It still does NOT PREVENT him from getting one ILLEGALLY!

There are shootings going on overseas in countries that have essentially EVERY LAW the Dems want, and some have more.  How did those laws STOP the shootings?  They did NOT.  Criminals can get guns illegally, if they can't legally.  That is why they are called criminals!

Daddie-O:

Please tell me WHY the Democrats on Monday, voted down the Republican proposal in the Senate, to do EXACTLY what you say you all want.  Their proposal was that if you were on the no fly list, or a couple others terror related, that you could not get a gun legally.  However, it required the government to actually follow the Constitution, use the 4th Amendment guarantee to us citizens of Due Process, and go before a Judge with their case.  If the Judge decided that there was enough evidence, then the Prohibition.

But, the Dems said NO.  They did NOT want the Constitution to apply.  They want your Rights taken away, WITHOUT due process.  Even the ACLU sided with the Republicans.  What is wrong with having Due Process?  Why are the Dems against it?

I truly do not understand. Why do Dems want Terrorists to have guns? (parroting Dems who claim Repubs want Terrorists to have guns).

The Dems also voted down the Republican proposal to put more money into more accurate records of law violations, so that more crooks would be stopped by the background check, because it would be more accurate when checking for law breakers. The proposal also would have put more money into the mental health aspect.

I thought EVERYBODY has been in favor of that!  But, Nooooooo.  The Dems said NO.  Why?  Would this have not advanced their cause?

Well, since you attacked my use of logic I guess turn about is fair play.

That is the stupidest application of alleged logic I have bothered to read in the past several days.  It is consistent with what you usually spout and confirms my assessment of your intellectual level.

Just so I can help someone who doesn't see it.  The solution to the drunken driving issue is the proper use of alcohol.  A drowning man in water sometimes would have been helped by the application of training or practice of the correct behavior in water.  Arson being the improper use of matches, the proper use of matches (or lighters) would certainly be contrary to the application of arson.  I knew a man once who had been named Arson by his parents.  He went by Woody.

The point of the more guns was specifically that more guns in the right hands would have reduced the impact of what took place in Orlando.  Guns, unlike all the instances related, do have the power to counteract.  Well, that would be excluding the use of fire to stop the advance of a forest fire.  Even though there may be more guns in America than there are people, there are places such as the club in Orlando that publicize that the persons inside are unarmed.  Those places are rich targets for people such as the terrorist in Orlando.  Making it more difficult for good people to get guns will have absolutely no influence on incidents such as the one in Orlando perpetrated by a very bad person.

That said, we will each stand where we stand applying what we believe to be good sense to the solutions for what we face.  I will not change your mind and you will not change mine.  Calling one another's ideas stupid or illogical will do nothing to convince anyone else of how right we are or how wrong someone else is.  The only approach that will convince anyone to change his mind would be an argument that makes sense within another's use of logic rather than simply reissuing the argument that resounds with those who already agree with our stance.  I'm not that enthused about the possibility of changing some people's opinions but there are a few who are in that reasonable state of question.

For my colleagues, do what you think is right with this post.  I won't be very deeply offended.  I don't imagine he reads the board often enough to see it anyway.

I would like ANY of the "more gun laws will keep us safe" crowd to answer this question:

If YOUR child was in any club, and a shooter walked in, and randomly started executing the patrons,  "Would you prefer YOUR CHILD be armed, or not?"

Would you prefer they cower under a table, hoping against hope that the gunman might not see them, and put a hole in their head, or would you prefer they use their training and their gun, to fight back?

Even knowing that going after a gunman with a gun will draw attention to them, and make them a target, I would prefer that MY CHILD, be armed, and have the ability to fight back.  They might well lose, but at least they would go down with a chance to save not only themselves, but others.  I personally think that is a worthy endeavor.  Do you think otherwise?

Yep, Daddy-O, that left-wing logic of less guns equals a safer society sure worked well in France, didn't it??

Refresh my memory, was the Crusades a holy war perpetrated by Muslims?  The Spanish Inquisition?

It never fails, EVERYTIME that a Christian hating liberal knows that they can't make their case through logic. They go on a rant about the Crusades.

First off the Crusades were a long, long  time ago.

Roughly from 1000 AD to 1600 AD give or take a few years.

http://www.history.com/topics/crusades

The Crusades was a Christian vs Muslim war.

Like any war there was death, destruction and wrong doing from both sides.

The muslims won and thus got to write the history books.

The only credible reason for a reference to the Crusades in today's time would be to point out that some Muslims have still not stopped fighting the Jihad that was declared against Christians way back then.

Any resonable person looking at the current events going on in today's world (21st Century) would have to conclude that Muslims are indeed the problem. And that Islam is NOT a religion of peace.

It has however been my experience that reason and logic are concepts which the liberal mind are not capable of.

Is the solution to drunk driving more alcohol?

No

But, the logical extension of saying banning guns will stop crime, is that banning cars will stop drunk drivers.

So, I ask:

If someone gets a DUI is it the cars fault ?

If the answer is NO, then why is it that when someone uses a gun to commit a crime gun control advocates blame the gun?

I'll say it again, logic and reason are foreign concepts to the liberal minded thinker.
