I really don't think this guy wants this Valkyrie to sell. The Pics don't reflect the description but, I'm doubting this was a pleasant divorce........... http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mcy/5648490132.htmlthis is my old bike that my ex and I bought last september and the ad is full of lies the front speakers are stock and rears are $10 flea market specials you cant hear them over 45-50mph the windscreen is not stock and caused buffeting and deafening wind noise needs replaced with one that is correct height the auxiliary input to the radio is broken only one side makes contact, broken wire coming out of head unit under seat, wire is integral to radio needs whole unit replaced the alternator cover is has broken tabs and the chrome is peeling badly, rare and expensive discontinued part the rear brake master cylinder chrome cover is broken off as well the bike has been laid down by myself when the kickstand fell off due to shotty work by previous owner. it had also been laid down before I got it. evidence is apparent by fairing being repainted and runs along edge also deep scratches in trunk where it appears someone keyed the bike there is also damage under the lock cylinder where someone tried to brake into the trunk (see bungee cord holding it closed in last pic in her "friend's" ad) there is a missing motor mount bolt in the upper hanger and who knows what else had been left loose by the guy I got it from the bike had hydrolock issue when he got it which means the engine has been out and the rear cover was off. I had tightened and replaced several loose missing bolts and kept finding more. there has been 0 maintenance done to the bike while I had it and I doubt she changed the oil or anything else since she has no job and no money to do so the bike will barely start and hard to keep running when cold once running it will start fine the rest of the day though. needs carbs rebuilt....there are 6 of them... will cost minimum of $800-$1000 and there aren't many people familiar with these carbs to do the job right hence the hard start the tank is full of rust and had the worst tank liner job ive ever seen inside the tires are shinko journey and have minimum 5k miles on them and the rear tire is horribly cupped there is a corbin seat that is worn through on the corners where someone had put it on the ground and kicked it around it is the most uncomfortable thing i've ever sat on. do some research on corbin for Valkyries. you will see they are very uncomfortable the last time I rode the bike was around march when I laid it down because the kickstand fell off. with knowing all the other issues with loose bolts and still having a missing motor mount bolt I quit riding it and she kept it locked in her garage where I couldn't go over it and make sure it was safe. Hopefully, this is not from one of our members..

WOW. I wonder what the original ad said about it. Tried to find it but no luck. Divorces are such wonderful things

hahaha I was never married to the bitch thank God. Unfortunately the title to my bike did end up in her name just before things went south. She pulled her ad when she saw mine and left a nasty voicemail message for me too. All is well, I have a new valk with a solo seat

Small world indeed. I have to ask, was it really as bad as described? I'll not tell a soul.

a bunch of minor flaws that add up. nickel and dime stuff. all in all its a 15 year old bike that had been rode 2 years and sat for the rest of the time. someone with no mechanical experience bought the bike and repaired the hydrolock and rebuilt the carbs. I bought it from him. nothing is a deal breaker on the bike just giving potential buyers all the ammo to get the price down to a reasonable number. she has $3000 in the bike I had $2000. no proof of my investment so its gone. its all stuff you don't notice right away. not until you bring it home and have to fix a neglected old bike that was portrayed in her ad as perfect with new tires new speakers and never been laid down, when she was on the back when it went over. everything I said was wrong I'm sure is still wrong. I forgot to mention the shock bushings are bad too.

My ex tried to hold the title to my first Valkyrie/ Stoopid, stoopid, stoopid. Title was in my name only. She got to the safety deposit box first when she got snakes in her head. I ended up with my bike, my Tahoe, her car cause the title was in my name only. She ended up paying me out of the house. I didn't want it, plus a bunch of other financial stuff. Plan ahead. I won one for the collective team Male.

I recently saw a sign, maybe here. It goes:
I only do what the voices in my wife's head tell her to tell me to do.
A lot of moons ago I was married to a She Devil that made this sign make perfect sense... Damn that's scary!

Oddly, divorce has always been good to me. First one, traded in slut for freedom. Second, got full care, and custody of me daughter. Lost a drug problem and moved away. Third, sold three houses, lost 2 adult step-daughters that had matching loser husbands, and 230lbs of ugly, mean fat. 112K in the bank tax free and freedom. There was one that I wasn't married to, she was just gone, good enough.

I've been very lucky. But I didn't get married till I was 38. Took me a while to get thru all the wild oats out there. But I can't imagine my life without her.

This may sound strange to some folks.
You know, sometimes I feel like I am the lucky one. Especially when I read about or hear about, my
friends or others who have had particularly bad divorces. You see, the two wives ( first one, married for
10 years, mother of my 3 children, the second, my business partner, married for 20 years) both died.
No lawyers, no fights, no big financial loss.
By the way, I really would not wish my experience on anyone.
Ride safe, y'all........

Lost 350 pounds of ugly fat for $250,000 . Plus an additional $150,000 over the years.
Best money I ever spent. I told her that she would go before the bike (1988 G W). She did and I sold the G W and bought the Valk. Actually , buying the Valk was the best money I ever spent next to the marriage license for my now wife.

Well, they say fat makes the meal taste better but, at $714.285714 per pound, that should have been one hell of a tasty treat..................

I had NO effin idea how much better off I was without the 2nd ex til she left. And I now have money in checking AND savings and I'm on social insecurity. And I own all my vehicles. she has a gambling problem. She worked-past tense-a nice job at a Handi Mart-2 PM til Midnight Monday thru Thursday and weekends off. Got caught stealing money and lottery tickets. In the words of a ventriloquist-dumb ass! RIDE SAFE.

Nope its a different one. There seems to be a lot of valks for sale recently, and some at pretty good prices.
