Great report, Dave!! You guys had a ride within a ride, within a ride. Great pictures, and good narratives. Feel like I was there with you!! Laundry total had to be $20.00 plus!! Thanks for sharing.

Most of my riding is towards the west, but your ride report makes me want to maybe take an easterly trip. Thanks for sharing that ride.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

That is an excellent ride report! I've been to a few of the New England locales you visited, it was nice to see them again. Brought back some good memories.

I can not tell you Dave how thoroughly I enjoyed your travel adventures, made one feel as though they were there.  I have been through many of the places you documented, not so much in upper New England, however mine were so often in a hurry dealing with expedited freight and from the Interstate, in which one does not see much.  There is so much to see in this great country and a motorcycle on the back roads is by far the best way.  I watched your home of Moreno Valley explode in population during the mid 80s to mid 90s on my numerous trips from LA to Palm Springs.  I also enjoyed watching the tankers, especially KC 135s fly overhead on in the Mojave from their March AFB home.    I have eaten at the Golden Corral in Richmond, IN ( 25 miles from my house ) last August for our club leaders wife's 75th birthday.  I enjoyed it but for my wife's Birthday's she always insists on the Texas Roadhouse just down the street from the Corral.
What a glorious adventure you fellows got to have.  Very jealous here.

Wish I knew you all were coming thru the Hudson Valley I would have helped steer you away from Albany and put you on 22 north along the Vt border

That was a great report lots of memories as I saw the pics of the  Adirondack lakes loop and the country store in Vt

What was your average speed to end with over 36 mpg?  That pretty impressive.

Thanks for the excellent report, Dave!  What a great trip!  It was fun being with you, Dennis, George, and John if only for a little bit of it.

Fantastic ride, fantastic report.   Upper Maine is a usually unexplored portion New England that is as beautiful a place in the country as can be found.  Stepping back in time to a simpler way of living life; towns that aren't in a hurry to modernize and are happy with it.   They still roll with the seasons in ordering their lives.
Bravo to your journal. Cool

What a great report Dave.  Disco and I rode about 4,500 miles and also had a blast.  Thanks for letting us tag along up in Maine.  The weather was perfect.
Now back to 97F and 90% humidity..... South Texas.

What a great report cooldude cooldude

Must have taken a while to put that puppy together, nice work.  Thank you.

It's nice to see appreciation for the North East area, there is some really great riding here.  Just got to get past the pot holed, broken pavement with patches on patches,  dirt would be better, roads to get to it Grin

I just did some riding in the Adirondack area, it was beautiful.

2funny Jim, that's Dave. He's our fearless leader of the SoCal Chapter. Although he did meet his match with a dude at a gas station near Mt. Rushmore last year. I think that guy had Dave by 4 or 5 inches. I wish I could find a pic of it. Maybe one of the other guys will chime in with a pic.

Tanks again Robin for the great pie, as for my height I'm 6'6" and the fellow we met last year was 7'6" and his name was Dave as well. That was some good riding for sure. Thanks to all for the kind words on my ride report. It was fun to share it all with you.
