Having morning coffee and reading the local paper my wife turns to me with no warning and asks if I know why sea gulls are called that.  After a few seconds I admit I don't so she informs me it's because they fly over the sea.  If the flew over bays the would be called bay gulls.

Or if they fly over a Lake - Lake Gulls

Or if they fly over/land in a land fill - garbage gulls

Or if they fly over/and on a parking lot - Parking Lot Gulls.

 uglystupid2 uglystupid2 uglystupid2

We live some 150 miles air miles from the ocean and have gulls all over the place.

Some where out on the eastern side of the US there is a dam on one of the great lakes and it creates a massive bay and it to navigate it, the shipping must use a lock system. It was truly amazing to see all the Dam bay gulls and locks.

I love it Moonshot.  My wife just rolls her eyes when I come up with something like that.
