So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

Covington, TN

« on: July 15, 2016, 05:50:52 AM »

Anyone interested in visiting Cleveland, I hear there's going to be a great gathering, lots of partiers. Night Clubs will be full of those celebrating, the streets will be crowded with potential targets.   Has anyone considered a Valkyrie gathering there during the same time frame?   Could be an exciting time.
Has anyone informed the local Muslim Radicals of this opportunity? After the Nice, France and Paris events I'm sure there's no real reason to be concerned. Guns won't be allowed. But, pressure cookers and trucks may still be available.    Wink

The current media wisdom says Gov. Mike Pence will be the person chosen to run on the ticket with Trump as VP. Not a bad choice IMHO, he's a Conservative and not nearly as devisive as Mr. Trump. He may be the one to bring conservatives and moderates back on line with the "Right". Only time will tell. Then again, if it's a split election and the decision ends up at SCOTUS, what will Ginsburg do? Such exciting and sad times we're living in.   Heck, maybe Justice Ginsburg will show up and speak to the masses.    coolsmiley

How many will protest against the GOP?

How many will protest against the DNC?

It will be interesting to see the arrest results and numbers.

Anyone else noticed that the dem/lib/progs, the party of "free speech", are very good at shouting down GOP speakers.

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/how-bernie-sanders-supporters-shut-down-donald-trump-s-rally-n537191

When last did you see GOP shouting down say Bernie or hillary?

What's interesting is how much money Soros and others are spending to send in their professionals to Cleveland.  (the US brown-shirts)

It's also interesting that the Cleveland PD is apparently showing it's muscle in a very calculated way.  Good for them.  I wish them good luck..... and good hunting (if necessary).

Shocked good hunting ? I'm not in favor of protesting or disrupting an opponent , but I sure don't want them hunted down.

Hmm..  Well, that kind of depends on why they are being sought by the police.   But, I feel certain Cleveland will be an interesting place next week.   If anyone is hosting a Valkyrie event there, let me know.   I'll come prepared to party or something like that.

Or not.

I said, if necessary.  If they are nice and polite and exercise their rights of free speech and assembly in accord with state and local law, that will be fine.  If they want to push and shove and harass and scream and intimidate, and damage persons and property and break the law, then I'd like to see them laid out in neat rows with busted heads.  (And I'm certain George Soros and the MSM would be simply elated with that result as well)

And the same would go for the DNC convention too, though I doubt moneyed interests will be sending professional thugs to disrupt their convention.

Let's assume all the "activists" have full time jobs.

Do they all book vacation time so they can go to Cleveland?

Are they students and it's a summer vacation in Cleveland that they've been looking forward to for months?

I do know that many will get there and have travel paid for. I hope the taxpayers don't have to pay for too many to be accommodated with a change of clothing.

I don't envy law enforcement. They are going to be under a large microscope with many activist trying to "take one" for the team.

Let's all say a prayer for all the LEOs in the Cleveland area (and those brought in for assistance) - this is going to be a rough week under a microscope for them. I hope the biggest news from Cleveland from their perspective is "nothing to report".

My bet is, the National Guard has already been put on alert and is standing by.

With so many folks promising to "open carry", I wonder if live ammo is an option for the  Guardsmen?    You just know this is a powder keg just waiting for someone to light the fuse.

Should be an interesting week in Cleveland.   Let's see, pretty sure I left something in Cleveland once but, I won't be going back there to retrieve it any time soon.  Wink   My prediction is, there will be rioting, looting and several hundred (if not more) arrested.   Sure hope no body gets themselves killed but, I'm thinking that's too much to ask for.   Sure hope I'm wrong...........

This could help or hurt, I'm undecided.   Interesting approach though.

Based on the last month's events, I would highly recommend that if you have a loved one who is a LEO in the Cleveland area, tell them you love them and kiss them good bye and hug them when they get home.   This week in Cleveland will not be pleasant nor will it be uneventful.

This is a prediction just like the weatherman gives us.   All the signs are there, 99% chances of tears falling this week in Cleveland and spreading across the nation.    I do not look forward to seeing the "Breaking News" of the day but, I fear it's coming.

May God Bless all those who strive to protect us from ourselves.

Several Black leaders on TV this AM.  All saying they plan on breaking the law, giving cops hard time, getting arrested.

Yep, good old "Peaceful" protests.

Anyone want to bet that the Liberal will say it is all Trumps fault?

Did they happen to define "giving cops a hard time"?   I'm betting on bloodshed on all sides.   Sad

Events like those of the last month or so are some of the things that got Turkey to where it is today.     Much of the world is looking forward to the demise of the US, they have no idea what will follow.

Apparently, the "largest" police force union in Ohio has asked the Governor to temporarily suspend the right open carry this week.   Shocked   The Governor's office responded with, "No Can Do".     cooldude

I understand the request but, agree with the Governor's office.   I'm waiting on the request to stop sales of Pressure Cookers and Suspend all Truck Traffic in Cleveland.   Roll Eyes   Responsibility accompanies the Right to do anything.   Rights can only be "suspended" under Martial Law.    Fear of what might happen without a significant event supporting such a decision is BS.    Actually, I don't know much about Martial Law, will have to read up on that.

A very interesting interview of Sheriff David Clarke and Don Lemon over Black Lives Matter.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAu44wVgb58&feature=youtu.be

Sheriff Clarke takes Mr. Lemon on about BLM.   Sheriff Clarke and Mr. Lemon are both black and don't seem to agree on the BLM issue, that would be putting it as nicely as I can put it.   coolsmiley

If you go, can you get Scott Baio's autograph for me?

But seriously, I wouldn't want to be in that volatile environment, with recent events.

As far as open carry, I would hate to be a cop there, trying to tell the good guys from the bad guys.
I think they should have listened to the police union. I don't buy that there was no legal way to suspend the law for a few days.

I don't think you can suspend a law for particular circumstances.  It's one reason one has to think about possible consequences and situations before backing such a law.

I would also like to point out that many GOP groups  like #NeverTrump are planning disruptive demonstrations.

I'd like to see a "non event" but seems unlikely.

No.  I was helping some folks out.  It's an easy mistake to make as folks may think the marshals will be in charge.  It's actually martial law as in the military will be in charge.

Not to be confused with Martian law in which the extra-terrestrials are in charge.

As I said, I understand the concern but, I don't believe anyone has the power to take away our rights without our approval.   You may be willing to give up your rights temporarily but, I'm not.    Doesn't matter if I even own a weapon, it's my right to open carry even if I borrow one.     Americans have fought and died all over this rock fighting to protect your and my rights, you can throw yours out the window if you wish but I won't give up my right to self defense.
