Me and my Valk at Freedom Rock

« on: July 24, 2016, 03:12:20 PM »

Well for months, it's been my position that we were not going to see much fireworks out of the GOP but the real political convention fireworks would come out of the DNC.

Sure the GOP had some drama but that would be expected at their convention after paring down the candidates from 17 to the final one. But with the exception of Ted Cruz, there was not a whole lot of the anticipated meltdown the media types had predicted.

And here we are, the day before the DNC opens its convention in Philly and Schultz, the Chairwoman of the party is ousted, emails released showing blatant bias of ranking DNC staff against Sanders and rumors of there being enough votes to change the Superdelegate rules which could favor Sanders.

The Sanders' supporters are already in a tizzy over the hypocrisy of the primaries and the revelation of the DNC emails will likely see them go over the top with their protests and frustrations.

Add to that all the democrat professional protesters coming to make good TV and Facebook and twitter posts.

Don't know if it'll happen but I sure can see the makings of a spectacular implosion of the Democrat Party.

Grab the popcorn fellas, might be a good show.

I fully expect there to be a bunch of Sanders write in votes.   Some may go with Trump but I doubt very many will cross that line.   Sanders and Trump are almost two different species.   I sincerely doubt the Sanders supporter could do that.

Sanders was right.

The "Fix" was in.  The DNC had it rigged so that he had ZERO chance to win.  Corrupt, dirty politics.  Right out of their own keyboards.

Will Democratic voters care that their party, and candidate is totally corrupt?  Not a bit.

MORE FREE CHIT is all that matters to most of them.

I've been advised that it's not "all" about the free stuff and I tend to believe that particular source but, it is about the free stuff for many.   I have been personally advised by a few Clinton supporters that Trump will cut their entitlements.   To be honest, it's hard to have much respect for anyone who supports clinton and refuses to accept the proven evidence that she's a liar, a cheat and a con artist.   They either drank too much  of the spiked kool aide or are only in it for themselves.

This election is more about the future of this nation than any other I've ever seen.   Several SCOTUS Justices may retire or pass on during this administration.   My singular vote most likely make a difference but, I don't plan on wasting it voting for a write in.   I did that once and have regretted it ever since.

It defies logic how people will nitpick a few minutes of a speech by the spouse of one candidate and use it as grounds to demonstrate that candidate's non-qualification to hold office, yet completely discount the decades-long history of blatant lies and corruption of the other candidate. I just don't get it.

Being a Republican, Bernie is obviously not my first choice, but he's an infinitely better candidate than Hillary. What happened to him in the primaries was criminal, but because it's a Clinton involved, nothing will be done about it. It's frightening and sad that this kind of thing can happen right under our noses with total lack of consequence.

That being said, Trump wasn't my first choice, either. I was disappointed that he's the best the GOP could muster, but right now I'll take him and his status as a complete political outsider every day of the week and twice on Sundays over anybody else either of the parties pull out of their a$$. I am truly frightened for the future of this country if Clinton is even allowed to continue running, let alone win.

I'd LOVE to see Bernie run as a Third Party candidate. It would be a great way to stick it back to the Democratic Party. It would also split the vote between Hillary and himself and hand the Presidency to Trump.

While that may be true, my bookie is currently giving even odds that should Bernie decide to run third party, he will not survive through the election process.    Where he gets his information, I have no idea.  Wink

if Mr. Sanders was to start a third party and run, and was assasinated, marshall law should be declared, the election postponed and the congress should appoint the next president. Do we have laws for that kind of thing?

I can't believe Bernie made it as far as he did. This country has gone nuts. At least he seemed like an honest guy and really believed what he had to say.
The one good thing I liked about him was he was pro-gun. Other that that, he was nuts.

My understanding (again based on "bookie" comments) is that his demise has already been determined to be suicide.  Roll Eyes   I think his source is FBI Director Comey but, I have no proof of that.   Apparently, Sanders will shoot himself in the back of the head wearing gloves, leaving no finger prints.    Undecided

Let's hope he takes Hillary down with him before he fades into the woodwork...

Bolshevik Bernie had his chance had he taken on crooked Hillary starting this time last year.  He refused to go after the email scandal, Clinton Global iniative slush fund and foreign and domestic payments to gain favors, or the other hundred scandals that follow this family around like a shadow.  Then he could have went off day after day about the system being rigged with the super delegates that she just magically got because of the corrupt DNC.   I do not know why, either just daft, dumb, or clueless about what was going on around him - or something else.  Or just to nice a guy maybe.  Trump showed him and tried to help him  to grow a pair - but he was the neutered candidate.

At the end when it was past to late he went after her some - had he done this from the beginning he just may have pulled it off.

Bernie is going to speak tonight. I think the nomination can be his if he is willing to pull the proverbial trigger. He has a lot of support, he got proof he got screwed, he's got the leverage to do it and a support base willing to go to war for him.

He'll likely continue the support for Clinton and that will really piss off a bunch of folks.

Hillary didn't have a clue any of this was going on behind the scenes Shocked but let's blame it all on the Russian/Trump hacking conspiracy? uglystupid2

At a supporter rally today, he came out fully in the tank for Hillary.  Guess he does not want to join the long list of people who mystereously died!
