I came across an older '85 goldwing interstate that I am interested in.  33,000 miles. It is in very good condition for its age.  The paint is good, seats are like new,  some pitting on cases, tires are good and about 2 yrs old.  It was owned by an older gent who used it sparingly and bought it when it was about two years old.  It was serviced regularly  by a local independent shop guy who works primarily on Hondas.  The owner brokered it through him, but the sale of the bike didn't work out and the independant shop guy bought it to resell himself.  He has replaced items such as the stator, and some problematic relays.  The air suspension shocks and fork tubes are good, carbs serviced and synced.  The  pipes are ok.  It is a good looking older bike and the engine sounds fine.  The mechanic has gone it over throughly. All of the plastic is there and has no sign of cracks or repair.  Price is 3800.  What think you.

I saw your post earlier but was hesitant to throw cold water on your deal. This is strictly just my opinion from a non guru. I think it's too much money. It sounds like a nice bike. But when you can purchase Valkyries for that price I think it's overpriced. I have a buddy that purchased a pristine Aspencade ( I think '85) from a farmer that he grew up with. Bought it for $3500 with the intent of flipping it. Ended up selling for $2500 because there just wasn't the market for it. It was a nice bike, but they are only worth what someone is willing to give you for them. But far be it for me to judge. I paid way more for my Interstate than I'm sure a lot of guys would have. I wanted it and it was worth it to me. If you feel that way about this GW go ahead. Life is short, get out and enjoy it.  cooldude

I think if you are buying it to ride and nit make money on go for it. It will serve you well and you will get more smiles from it than dollars spent. That being said yeah it may be a tad high but as I said if you are buying it to ride and not thinking of selling I would not have a problem buying it.
Today I saw a great looking 1800 GW it was a 2003 and had a price tag of $4600 but if you looked closely it did have a few cosmetic issues if you looked really close. I inquired as to how many miles were on it and it was north of 250k but it ran perfect and probably would last for another century.
