Put in 175 miles yesterday. The day before that I replaced the road light switch and the vacuum line for the fuel valve. While I have a couple of firearms I don't consider myself avid-BUT I do enjoy gittin rounds downrange. Lot of the hobbies I used to enjoy call/called for really good manual dexterity-which has started to wane on me. NOT a Hobby per se but more like a CALLING is my P G R work. Much rather be IN the wind on a mission than in a cage! I actually enjoy taking care of the yard and maintaining the equipment that takes care of the yard. Keeping a 17 year old Motorcycle and a 22 year old car road worthy has It's moments. I have-for me-a couple of nice edged instruments that are part of the go bag-should THAT become relevant. If you've seen my vest you KNOW where patriotic themed key tags end up. Also seeing how many patches I can get on said vest. Mostly though about the riding and talking to people. That talking to folks is the difficult part-cuz if you've met me you KNOW how shy and retiring I am! RIDE SAFE.

I had no idea this was such a diverse group Seems I'm the "odd duck" (imagine that). I ride. Can't honestly say I'm into anything else. If I'm not riding, I'm thinkin' about riding, planning a ride somewhere, lookin' up roads to ride, working to afford to ride, or wrenching (which I hate) so I can ride! Don't even own a running cage (trucks been down 'bout 2 years now). I'll walk straight out into.... monsoon, snow, 110° heat, fog, flood, lightning, ice, hurricane, tornado, & plagues of locust, as long as I GET to ride my motorcycle. When Sugar & I got together there was only one thing I told her she couldn't ask of me & that was not to ride. (She's never once asked me not to go.) I may not be a "patched" member of any crew, but I truly am....

Lets see, I like wood working, picked that up from my dad. Kind of a jack of all trades. I don't pay anyone to fix anything for me. I use to be into fish tanks before kids. Had a 150 gallon reef tank for several years. When the kids go old enough they talked me into chameleons. So the tank got sold and we now have 3 chameleons. Hunting is my most favorite. Deer season I'm in the woods more than I'm home. Go to work early so I can hunt every afternoon. I love to reload for my guns also. Recently I have been loading all my 44 mag casings. Have about 4000 loaded and about 6000 empty I'm planning on getting loaded in the next month or 2. I shoot a lot of 44 and they are not factory loads either, much hotter. I don't get to ride as much as I would like but I do get in a good ride every couple weeks. Also been training my new bloodhound pup to track. Yeah I know it comes natural to them but I want him to be very good so I work with him about 3 times a week. He recently did a half mile track. Next step is a 500 yard track through the woods. He loves it, now those pesky deer wont get away so easy after being shot.

I have had several different hobbies over the years. I still Ride often almost everyday, I work on all the family vehicles. I have a 110 gallon salt water fish tank, have snakes, birds (African Grey) (love birds), chickens, gecko's, and a tarantula. I skydive, snow ski, hunt & fish. I have swam in the Amazon river, rafted 8 days down the Colorado river thru the Grand Canyon, hiked up a volcano in Guatamala and roasted marshmellows over hot lava. I do blacksmithing. I like shooting my guns and my bow. I play guitar , drums and harmonica. Drive an 18 wheeler and mostly just work. But I love what I do and do it with my family.

Mostly music. Been into it since I was about 9, so going on a solid 50 years. Now I play keyboards and do a little singing, picking up solo gigs here and there. Also do a little woodworking, mostly making picture frames for my wife's endless pile of cross-stitch work, but a few other odd projects as well. Have kind of neglected the shop the last few years, unfortunately, but the pile of cross-stitches hasn't gotten any smaller.

Im pretty big into Radio Control Airplanes - currently have about 30 planes ready to fly. I used to fly fuel powered models., but now just fly Electric powered planes. I specialize in World War Two planes and spend a considerable time detailing them out. I've been flying for about 40 years now. I was also a Master Modeler building plastic planes many years ago. I'm a certified Contest Director and instructor pilot for RC planes
I also dabble in photography - again (wife bought me a new Nikon a couple years ago after my old 35mm Nikon bit the dust )
Im a Life Member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association - Vets Helping Vets
So if Im not riding with a great group of vets, Im flying

I enjoy making, fixing, fabricating, modifying, restoring, building things. Whatever material is in front of me, I can find a way to make it more useful in my life. I like fishing and motorcycles too. Most of what my hobbies revolve around is how to have more fun, more time, less cost involved in motorcycles and fishing. Sometimes it's hard to decide which one I want to do.

I decided to expand my horizons and started a bee hive. Always wanted to do this but never got around to it. So this was the year. All was going along smoothly till last Saturday when the girls decided to SWARM! Luckily, my lift was home and I was able to capture them. I made a few changes to the hive and they moved back in.

I keep my house from falling down/apart.
I don't think of it as a hobby. More like a pain in the ass.
As Roseann Roseannadanna said...... if it's not one thing, it's another.
. . . . 1, 2. Yeah, that is probably my number one hobby also (including yard work), with keeping my cars running being a close second (and probably first when my kids were in high school/college). 3. Grandchildren. Nothing better. Unfortunately they all live at least 2½ hours away. 4. Drinking. I had to attend alcohol education and treatment after getting an OWI in 1990. One question on a survey was: "Does drinking ever interfere with your hobbies?" My response was "Drinking IS my hobby." My probation officer said I needed additional education and treatment. 5. Camping. Actually, I just got back into this. Our family went camping once or more each summer when the kids were growing up. When the kids were all gone, I sold the pop-up camper. Last month our extended family went camping at Turkey Run State Park in Indiana and I spent countless hours refurbishing a 28 year old RV for the trip. 6. Gambling. I have just about given up this hobby. I used to play internet poker obsessively (my wins slightly outnumbered my losses). I was always betting (and losing) on sports, NFL in particular. Since the government cracked down on internet poker on April 15, 2011 (Black Friday), I had to cut way back on internet poker and can no longer claim to win or at least break even. 7. Internet Porn. HEY, it's free. Soft core and vintage porn. I like naked women. 8. Oddly enough, Church. Even though my church frowns upon #7 (Internet Porn), I still spend a substantial amount of my free time doing church activities. I am a convert to Catholicism. Now that I am thinking about it, maybe I should spend more time doing church activities and less time with Internet porn--switch the order of #7 and #8?

Holy crap Bill, I had no idea beekeeping required so much machinery. How do you get them to get off the branch and get back in the hive ? its a long story on why they swarmed. Because I was lucky enough to have the lift, I was able to collect them. Otherwise, I would have had to cut the tree down or let them go their own way. On most swarms, the bees are pretty docile. It's because their looking for a new home and not protecting one. Not the case here, they were pissed off because I allowed the hive to overheat. Once I got under the swarm, I used a large plastic tub to knock them into. Most just fall in, usually. This time about a thousand or more started buzzing me. I had my suit on so I only got a few well deserved stings. Then I cut the branch and got them on the ground. I put them next to the hive after I ventilated it. To my surprise, the next day they moved back in. I was lucky.

Movie acting.
Wish I would have started earlier, not a ton of parts for an old fart. The rush I get while on a movie set is addictive. Feel free to check out my experiences.

Kool do you see where he got his inspiration for the bag paint yep he let me know the paint scheme was yours. Hey to me the '97 bee was the best paint scheme out there they tried it again in 2000 but the yellow was different and the pin stipe was silver instead of Orange just wasn't as good IMHO.
