Just read about this product on a woodworking forums general area. Just curious if anyone has ever used it. Evidently it's not the same as other gas additives. Claims to be synthetic and the writer claims almost miraculous results in small engine applications.

Dont know the stuff but its a fuel system cleaner and between Techron and Sea Foam that has been proven I don't think another product is needed.

There is another Old School, still on the shelve, but a little forgotten. Marvel Mystery Oil, remember that.

Yup use it and have 2 bottles on the shelf but I use it as a cleaner or additive for the oil. Had great success in quieting noisy lifters.

Robert, do you think some MMO would help soften the valve seals on an engine that has sat idle for an extended period. It's an '85 1200 I got for my project bike, runs fine but I do get some smoke for the first few minutes of running it. Compression is good, cold is 165 across all four so I'm inclined to think it's not rings...not at 23k anyway.

I have owned several flat fours, (1000,1100,1200) And they all smoked at startup, out the left bank, unless you parked them on the centerstand. Even from new. New seals will fix it for a few miles, but, let them set for a week or two, and they smoke at startup.

I doubt it but you could try it, but it would not be hard to change the seals out either even without taking the head off.

I doubt it but you could try it, but it would not be hard to change the seals out either even without taking the head off. I've done it a couple times, not a fun job for sure. I made an air injector using an old spark plug and knocking the ceramic out. Then adapted a Lincoln fitting on it for the air hose, the problem was the 1200 has double springs and my spring compressor barely catches the inside one. Like to find a better tool for that, any suggestions that don't cost a bundle?

Like to find a better tool for that, any suggestions that don't cost a bundle? The Snap On compression tester has the end that goes into the spark plug hole and will fit some air lines. I put a regulator on it also so I can dial in the pressure to the cylinder. As for the spring tool I will look at mine and see how long the ends are. I think mine would do the trick. I will post a pic and you can see it with some kind of ruler or size comparison. This is the design mine is but mine is older and has longer lower jaws that go into the spring. I have a set of 1500 heads and will see if I can put my compressor on them and take a pic for comparison. http://blog.etoolscity.com/564/I almost forgot I have something similar to the compressor in the pic below you could borrow http://www.samicspecialtools.com/mercedes-v8-valve-spring-compressor-engine-repair-tools/Some pics of how to use it, it has saved me a few times http://autotrend.activeboard.com/t58326401/mercedes-benz-560-420-engine-valve-seals-replacement-photos-/
