How does he have the time to model for these likenesses, in the middle if a campaign?

HA!
If it was a statue of the Hildabeast there would be a post nearby with free barf bags.

Actually, can you imagine the commotion the libs would provide if conservatives did something like that? Gotta' love it!

Highly offensive as well.  However, if that was headline news, I never saw it.  What made the Donald statues especially offensive was their placement in multiple high traffic venues.  I'm embarrassed at what our politics is becoming.

pretty sure they said it was Anarchist Art Collective Indecline. whatever that means.
I'm also pretty sure an Anarchist will not be a republican. Maybe a democrat though. Evil

The human psyche is kind of funny. We seem to find highly offensive things that are against our political leanings. But we are strangely silent of offenses that are with our leanings. There have been numerous posts on here of dogs shitting on the picture of the president, of the First Lady depicted as a man in drag. But no inklings of disgust. We as a society seem to be very accepting of disgusting things that are on "our side".

The statues themselves aren't that shocking, idiots (from both sides) will be disrespectful idiots.

What's disgusting, to me, is all the "fun" the "news" is having with this, and the wink-wink nudge-nudge response this got from a government entity. (The New York City Parks Department)

A couple of points that I noticed, butcher.

F6gal clearly stated that she would be equally disgusted at a similar statue of the opposing candidate.  Perhaps you are aware of a neutrality of her political stance of which I am unaware.

The second point is that I react to members who report posts.  I have had few or no reported posts with the images you describe from yourself or others.  Truthfully, I have removed some of those posts without waiting for someone to report them.  I found those unacceptable and I am not a supporter of Barrack Obama.

It's interesting, isn't it, that we didn't see your observation, meathead, in regard to a liberal complaint?   Wink

Wayne,

I'm sorry that you're disappointed. I gave it a little thought before posting this, but I decided to post it, based partially on the number of people here that have claimed not to be fans of Trump. I wish I had a buck for every person here that has claimed they were either voting for him because he's not Clinton, or they were considering not voting at all.

I personally found it fairly humorous, based on his performance and behavior. I've never seen anything quite like it in Presidential politics, and I wager is the same with everyone here. Wayne, based on the number of election cycles you've witnessed, can you remember anything so bizarre?

Respectfully,

Bob

A couple points of my own. I wasn't really referring to f6gals post. It was more geared at everyone, myself included. You are too good at grammar to not have noticed my use of the word WE.  Smiley
Second you are correct, I never reported those images as offensive. Maybe should have. Third I didn't previously post on this thread because I figured there was no sense in fanning the flames. But if the truth be told, I find the placement of the statues both offensive and slightly humorous at the same time. My point that I was trying to make, and the only reason I jumped in on this thread was : That we as a people only seem to see the distasteful stuff from the other side. If it comes from our side there seems to be nothing said. Myself included.

I see your point, but offensive is offensive.  I once posted a picture of Hillary as the Wicked Witch.  I'm sorry if anyone was offended.  The world will never be a safe space and while we should strive for courtesy and respect in our interactions don't be surprised if you're disappointed -- very often.  How we react to that is, as noted, up to us.

What is bizarre is we know Hillary's behavior and performance quite well, and yet we allow her to run for President of the United States.  Collectively, that's our fault.  It's sad, really.

And notice my use of we.

My Wife expects to see the best in people and is disappointed when it does not come to pass.
I expect very little from people, and I am rarely disappointed.

As to disgusting politics, it's a sad election cycle in the US.    Neither candidate would be my first choice but, one is a proven liar, con-artist, and thief.    We get the government we deserve I suppose but, we should be smarter than that.    President Kennedy would be so proud, ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country can do for you.   Roll Eyes

Way too much free stuff on the line for so many, Clinton will most likely be a shoe in.   You have been warned.............   Lips Sealed

Ron,

You couldn't be any further from the truth. I was genuinely surprised at the first few responses, not at all what I expected. For the reasons I stated earlier, I sensed the general mood of the board toward Trump as not what they wanted, but it's what they're stuck with. And yes, being a liberal, I found it quite amusing. Just as others find anything derogatory toward Obama amusing. That's all this is.

And no, I wasn't locked and loaded with that pic. I didn't even think about posting anything like that until f6gal posted her thoughts. And she's absolutely right, that it's a sad day that this is what a Presidential campaign in this day and age comes down to. With all the major problems in this country and this world, this is what we have...

Most of you on the board despise the air Hillary breathes, I think Trump is absolutely the most ridiculous, pathetic human on the planet. If anyone does any reading, they'll find that most of the Republican party think the same way. Can anyone recall another time, modern day or past history, when the Party is trying to find a way to get rid of their own nominee? But what REALLY scares me is the number of people that think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I just don't know what to say about that. The worst thing is that those people are still going to be around, screaming all kinds of BS when Trump loses. And lose badly, he shall. He's already whining about a rigged election (we know all about those, don't we?) and crying that the debate moderators had better be 'fair' or he ain't playing.

Never seen anything like it. He deserves every degree of heat coming his way.

Bob,
If you say so, I'll accept that you weren't fishing but, I personally think even you would have to admit it looks "fishy".    I'll agree, I despise Hillary and just about everything she is.   I simply can't fathom why anyone could support her but obviously, I'm in the minority.   Whether or not it's Trump, Cruz or any of the other candidates that ran for the Republican nomination or even Bernie Sanders, all were more trust worthy than Clinton.   The only thing I trust Clinton to do is be Pro-Clinton.

At least, I'll have a clear conscious when the middle class disappears.   Most will not.

Edited:   BTW, just heard a rumor that Ryan Lochte studied Clinton's methods of public speaking, interviews and giving official statements when responding to official inquiries, any truth to that?

It wouldn't matter if the Republicans had another nominee or the democrats had a different nominee. Everyone would still be going at it just like we are today. You only despise Trump because he is a nominee and we only despise Clinton, oh nevermind, we would still despise her if she wasn't running for president. I got a new name for her and Bill, Hillbilly.

I'd put money on it that if both sides had completely different candidates each side would find stuff that despises them. Just like back when Bush was running, then when Obama was running. Does not matter this will never stop until one of these so called presidents sells out the country and your opinion no longer matters.

Honestly, I can't say that's true.   I've never voted a straight ticket and have voted for other than a Republican when I didn't like the other choices in my past.    IMHO, Clinton represents nothing but self-absorbed greed and evil.   Virtually anyone that ran for the office has more integrity than Mrs. Clinton and they would get my vote long before Hillary.

Wow where to start!  I don't hate the air Hilliary breathes. The prevailing winds here in Kentucky is west to east so it's really only a east coast problem. My issue with Hilliary is her public record. Her actions and positions of the last 20 years would stop me from voting for her or anyone with her history.

Now the most ridiculous, pathetic human on the planet???? Donald must have come to your house kicked your dog and made fun of your wife and kids. Donald is not a perfect candidate but he is the candidate I have been hoping for. Our current system of career politicians (both parties) and their stranglehold on our government needs to at least be challenged.  Their have been a few republicans in the recent past I would have been happy to support but they elected not to run and in one case did not even run for re-election due to the tangled system we have allowed to exist.

Surely anyone with an ounce of common sense can see we can't continue on our current path and expect our kids and grandkids to have a brighter future.

Yeah, I noticed that also.  It's a self contained contradiction.  WE will choose to believe what we choose to believe sometimes despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Grin If only it was so easy to blame it on someone else. No, I'm afraid his nomination is squarely on the shoulders of the R's. Just as Clintons is on the D's. There is plenty of shame to go around.  Undecided

Can anyone recall another time, modern day or past history, when the Party is trying to find a way to get rid of their own nominee?

Liberals are all about making fun of people who don't share the twisted perverted view, but do it to them and you are intolerant or a bigot, homophobe, racist, hater or whatever the "term of the day" happens to be.

Misogynist is the current word, anyone who disagrees with Hillary's coronation will be a misogynist...

...because there's obviously no other reason anyone would possibly distrust and dislike her other than her genitalia, of course...

Hmmmm............ That theory doesn't hold water.

I absolutely can't stand Hillary ...........

But, I am a big fan of female genitalia!  Evil Evil
